Chief Minister participated in padyatra with youth
The Chief Minister himself joined the youth in this march and at the last stop of the march, he paid homage to Baba Saheb by garlanding his statue located at Ambedkar Chowk.During this, he read the Preamble of the Constitution with the youth and signed it on the Preamble Wall, expressing his loyalty and commitment towards the basic spirit of the Constitution.It is worth mentioning that 'Jai Bhim Padyatra' was organized under the joint aegis of Sports and Youth Welfare Department of Chhattisgarh Government and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan.
Baba Saheb's foresight was described as the foundation of democracy
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that after being born in Mau of Madhya Pradesh and after hard struggles, Baba Saheb received higher education and gave an inclusive and powerful constitution to a huge democracy like India.He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has decided to develop five major places related to Baba Saheb's life as 'Panchtirth' so that the new generation can take inspiration from his thoughts. Also, by announcing Constitution Day, he has given the message of dedication towards the Constitution to the countrymen.
The role of youth is important in protecting democratic values
Mr Sai said that because of Baba Saheb's farsightedness, today a huge country like India is continuously enriching its democratic values, whereas other countries that got independence along with India could not carry forward democracy along with them.
The youth were honored
During this, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai honored the youth who made special contribution to the society from the main stage.On this occasion, MLA Purandar Mishra, Khushwant Saheb, Anuj Sharma, Motilal Sahu, Youth Commission Chairman Vishwavijay Singh, Sports and Youth Welfare Department Secretary Himshikhar Gupta, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vishwadeep along with a large number of youth, school children and common people were present.
