Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the ‘'Mamtamayee' Minimata Nirvan Diwas’ and the district-level oath-taking ceremony at the Padma Shri Govindram Nirmalkar Auditorium in Rajnandgaon on August 11. At the event, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced that the Government New College in Thelkadih would be renamed after Sant Guru Ghasidas Baba. He also announced the allocation of Rs. 10 lakh each for the construction of Satnam Bhawans in Sonesarar village (Rajnandgaon block), Sakardahra village (Dongargaon block), and Motipur village (Rajnandgaon block), as well as for the construction of a stage at Satnam Bhawan in Rajnandgaon. Additionally, he also provided Rs. 5 lakh for installing a statue of ‘Mamtamayee’ Minimata at the Government Polytechnic College in Rajnandgaon. The Satnami community honoured the Chief Minister by adorning him with a traditional turban. During the ceremony, Chief Minister Shri Sai administered an oath to all attendees to respect the national flag as part of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" program.
 

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to ‘Mamtamayee’ Minimata, acknowledging her legacy as the first female MP after India’s independence. He congratulated the newly elected officials of the Rajnandgaon Satnami Seva Samiti and urged them to focus on uplifting the Satnami community through education and development, following the path laid out by Sant Guru Ghasidas Baba. The Chief Minister highlighted Minimata's tireless efforts in undivided Madhya Pradesh to empower women and eradicate untouchability.
 

Shri Sai emphasised the enduring relevance of Sant Guru Ghasidas Baba’s 18th-century message, ‘Mankhe Mankhe Ek Saman’ (Everyone is equal), and his fight against untouchability and discrimination. He affirmed that the Chhattisgarh Government is committed to realising Prime Minister Shri Modi's vision by adhering to Baba Ji's teachings. The government is implementing various schemes benefiting farmers, women, youth, and other segments of society, including the Shri Ram Lala darshan initiative and a Rs. 5,500 standard bag remuneration for tendupatta collection.
 

Chief Minister Shri Sai praised Assembly Speaker and former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh for his role in constructing the Jaitkham in Giraudpuri, building community centres for the Satnami community, and promoting the cultural Panthi dance. Shri Sai expressed hope that the government would continue to receive blessings from Sant Guru Ghasidas Baba, enabling them to work for the welfare of the state's people.
 

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh emphasised the significant contributions of ‘Mamtamayee’ Minimata in increasing women's participation in society, pioneering their development, and boosting their confidence. As the first female MP in 1952, she advocated for laws against untouchability and actively opposed social injustice. She played a leading role in both Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Dr. Singh expressed pride in facilitating the construction of the Jaitkham in Giraudpuri and praised Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's various initiatives for the nation's overall development. He also commended Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai's efforts towards the development of villages, the poor, and farmers. Under Shri Sai's leadership, the state government has provided Rs. 3,100 per quintal for paddy, disbursed Rs. 3,716 crore as a two-year pending paddy bonus, and provided financial aid of Rs. 1,000 monthly to 70 lakh eligible beneficiaries under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Dr. Singh expressed confidence in continued progress under the Chief Minister's leadership.
 

MP Shri Santosh Pandey acknowledged the harmonious progress of the Satnami community alongside other communities. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for his special commitment to the Rajnandgaon district and urged everyone to follow Sant Guru Ghasidas Baba's principle of ‘Mankhe Mankhe Ek Saman’ (Everyone is equal). Shri Pandey also extended congratulations and best wishes to all newly elected officials.

Arang MLA Guru Shri Khushwant Saheb commended ‘Mamtamayee’ Minimata for her significant efforts in preventing child marriage, eradicating untouchability, and working tirelessly for the welfare of society. He noted that the Satnami community continues to spread Sant Guru Ghasidas Baba's message of ‘Mankhe Mankhe Ek Saman’ (Everyone is equal). Shri Khushwant also highlighted the positive impact of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which has provided houses for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe residents in rural areas. He encouraged everyone to follow Sant Guru Ghasidas Baba's teachings, emphasising the importance of holistic societal development and the need to avoid harmful addictions like alcohol and tobacco.
