Peanut pulses oilseeds crop is beneficial for farmers in less water

Jashpurnagar । As per the wishes of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, people in the district are being continuously benefited from government schemes.In this connection, farmer Samli Ram of Birimdega has been benefited by the Krishak Samriddhi Yojana by the Agriculture Department and peanut seeds have been provided to him under the National Edible Oil Mission Oilseeds Scheme.

Farmer Mr. Samli Ram told that he is a resident of village Birimdega development block Pathalgav. He has a total of 2.000 hectares of land in which he cultivates paddy in Kharif season and did not cultivate in Rabi season due to lack of irrigation facilities.He told that he contacted the rural agriculture extension officer of the area, Mr. Ujit Pankra and he gave information about various schemes of the agriculture department. Under the Krishak Samridhi Yojana run by the agriculture department, he got a tube well dug and used to cultivate paddy through tube well even during the Rabi season.Due to which they did not get a satisfactory income. During this time, the Rural Agriculture Extension Officer encouraged them to cultivate other crops in place of paddy under the Pulses, Oilseeds and Maize Promotion Scheme and summer groundnut crop.Under the National Edible Oil Mission Oilseeds Scheme, peanut seeds were taken from the Agriculture Department and now the peanut crop has been cultivated, the yield of which has been good and looking at the fertility, there is a possibility of getting good income.The farmer expressed his happiness over the good production due to proper guidance and thanked Chief Minister Shri Sai and the district administration.
