Raipur, August 6, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Mahanadi Bhavan, Mantralaya, to assess progress on various pending projects of the Water Resources Department. He instructed officials to adopt a concrete strategy to accelerate construction work and ensure rapid progress in execution.

CM Sai reviewed in detail the status of ongoing irrigation projects across the state. He specifically emphasized that all incomplete water projects, especially those pending since before 2015, must be completed on a priority basis.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that Chhattisgarh is a state of farmers, and the delay in water projects directly affects irrigation capacity, thereby depriving farmers of the full benefits of the schemes. He further added that timely completion of these pending irrigation projects would increase the state's irrigated area and ensure adequate water availability to farmers.

CM Sai further underlined that improved irrigation infrastructure would significantly boost agricultural output, thereby leading to higher income for farmers and improved standards of living. He firmly stated that early completion of these projects is essential to ensure that farmers reap the intended benefits.

During the meeting, Water Resources Secretary Rajesh Sukumar Toppo presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation on various irrigation projects being implemented across the state. He also updated the attendees on the current status of pending projects.

Raipur, August 6, 2025: In yet another major breakthrough in the fight against Naxalism, security forces in Chhattisgarh have achieved a significant success. In Bijapur district, 9 Maoists, including one carrying a bounty of ₹24 lakh, surrendered today. In a separate incident, another Maoist was neutralised during an encounter.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said this reflects the image of a changing Bastar — where guns are being lowered and the voice of development is rising. He added that this success is a result of the indomitable courage of security forces and the strong leadership and guidance of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, who holds the record for serving the longest tenure as India’s Home Minister.

CM Vishnu Deo Sai further said that Shri Amit Shah’s tenure has marked an era of internal security in India that has made the impossible possible. Be it the historic abrogation of Article 370 or the decisive blows dealt to Naxalism and terrorism, he has consistently steered the nation towards becoming a safe, strong, and confident republic.

Since December 2023, Chhattisgarh has witnessed the neutralisation of around 450 Maoists, 1,579 arrests, and nearly 1,589 surrenders. These figures are clear evidence that Naxalism in the state has entered its final phase.

The Chief Minister made it clear that the Chhattisgarh Government is fully committed to eliminating Naxalism from the state by March 31, 2026, in alignment with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah.

CM Sai participated in the concluding ceremony of the Shiv Mahapuran Katha in Bhilai today, along with his wife Smt. Kaushalya Devi Sai and other family members. Raipur, August 5, 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has issued firm directions to ensure that compensation for incidents involving human, livestock, and crop losses due to wild animal attacks be provided promptly, in accordance with the rules, and with utmost sensitivity. He noted that residents in forested regions often suffer the pain of losing loved ones in such tragic incidents and stressed that their grievances must be addressed swiftly with a humane approach.

CM Sai was speaking during the review meeting of the Forest and Climate Change Department held at Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur. He remarked that elephant-human conflict and other incidents involving violent wild animals causing loss of life, livestock, and crops have become significant challenges in the forest regions of the state. In such situations, it is the government's responsibility to ensure that the affected families receive timely and just assistance. He instructed that all related cases be resolved promptly and as per regulations.

Highlighting the economic and emotional impact of these events, the Chief Minister pointed out that wild elephants not only damage staple crops like paddy but also cause massive destruction to cash crops such as sugarcane, banana, papaya, and jackfruit. This results in a dual burden—financial and psychological—on the farmers. During the meeting, CM Sai also reviewed the current status of individual forest rights titles granted in the state.

Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, addressing officials during the meeting, directed that departmental coordination be further strengthened to ensure timely delivery of compensation to affected individuals. A proposal for revising and increasing compensation rates for loss of life, permanent disability, livestock damage, housing loss, and crop damage was also tabled during the session.

The meeting also included a discussion on the assistance provided under RBC provisions for crop loss caused by natural disasters.

Raipur, August 5, 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, while chairing a review meeting of the Skill Development Department at Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur, directed that skill training programs must be directly connected to employment and self-employment opportunities. He emphasized that the objective of the government is not merely to conduct trainings but to make the youth self-reliant and capable. To achieve this, continuous innovation and effective action plans by the department are crucial, he said.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of departmental schemes and discussed in detail the district-wise training achievements and allocated budget for the year 2025–26. He also sought detailed updates on the Mukhyamantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0, and Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana.

Chief Minister Shri Sai took a special review of the training being imparted to surrendered Maoists under the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ scheme. It was informed in the meeting that so far, 549 youth have been trained, while 382 trainees are currently undergoing training at rehabilitation centres. Similarly, the training of youth belonging to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) under the PM Janman Yojana was also reviewed.

Highlighting a recent reform, it was informed that from July 1, 2025, trainee attendance under the Mukhyamantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is being recorded using a face-based scanning system, which has brought about increased transparency and better monitoring.

The department also shared updates on MoUs signed with private institutions. Notably, partnerships with Nandi Foundation and Mahindra & Mahindra have been established to provide quality training to youth across the state.

A roadmap for the upcoming ‘Kaushal Tihar 2025’ was also presented. The event aims to raise awareness among youth about skill development. It will be held in two phases – district and state level – with competitions in two age groups: under 22 years and above 22 years. The competition will include 10 core trades: Automobile Technology, Bricklaying, Renewable Energy, Health and Social Care, Plumbing and Heating, Electrical Installations, Electronics Field Technician, Computer, Mobile Phone Technician, Graphic Design Technology/Desktop Publishing, and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

At the district level, two winners from each trade and age group will be selected to compete in the state-level competition. Winners at the state level will receive awards, trophies, and employment opportunities. They will also be groomed for India Skills 2025 regional and national competitions. Finalists from there will get the chance to represent India at the prestigious World Skills 2026 in Shanghai, China.

CM Sai emphasized that skill development schemes must be deeply integrated with the livelihood, self-reliance, and future building of the youth. He directed officials to continue making focused efforts in this direction.

Raipur, August 4, 2025: Bastar division of Chhattisgarh is witnessing a remarkable transformation in healthcare services, thanks to the proactive governance of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and the effective implementation of people-centric health schemes. From national-level quality certifications to specialist recruitments and direct health assistance, the numbers tell a compelling story of inclusive development reaching even the remotest corners of the Naxal-affected belt.

Between January 1, 2024, and June 16, 2025, as many as 130 health institutions in Bastar division have been certified under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS). These include 1 district hospital, 16 Primary Health Centres (PHCs), and 113 Sub-Health Centres (SHCs). Notably, 14 institutions in the highly sensitive districts of Kanker, Bijapur, Sukma, and Dantewada have achieved certification, reflecting the government’s deep commitment to service delivery even under challenging conditions. An additional 65 facilities are currently undergoing the certification process.

To further expand access, the state government has accelerated Ayushman card enrolments under the Niyad Nellanar Scheme. In just one year, 36,231 Ayushman cards have been generated in the division, achieving a 52.6% coverage. As a result, 6,816 beneficiaries have availed health assistance worth ₹8.22 crore, providing real, timely relief to thousands of families.

To support this expanding system, the state has significantly bolstered medical staffing. In the past 18 months alone, 33 medical specialists, 117 medical officers, and 1 dental surgeon have been appointed in the Bastar division. Additionally, 75 state-level and 307 district-level staff and managerial positions have been filled, while recruitment for 291 more posts is underway. These efforts are not only enhancing the availability of services but also raising the bar for quality and efficiency across the board.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed satisfaction over the consistent improvement and reach of healthcare in Bastar. He credited this change to the active involvement of Mitanins, health workers, and departmental staff, whose collective commitment has made the impossible possible. “Bastar has always been a focus area for our government, and we are committed to strengthening it further,” he said.

Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal reiterated the state’s objective of ensuring uniform quality healthcare across Chhattisgarh. He highlighted the ongoing Malaria-Free Campaign in Bastar, which involves door-to-door testing, immediate treatment, and awareness initiatives. Under NQAS, health institutions across the state—and especially in Bastar—have achieved model-level performance, he noted.

Raipur, August 4, 2025/ On the auspicious occasion of the fourth Monday of the sacred month of Shravan, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai virtually addressed the concluding ceremony of the grand Shiv Mahapuran Katha held near the world’s largest natural Shivling at Madheshwar Pahad in Mayali, located in Kunkuri block of Jashpur district, from his official residence in Raipur.

The divine seven-day katha series, held from July 28 to August 4, 2025, was organised by the Mahamadheshwar Dham Committee, where renowned spiritual orator Pujya Shri Devkinandan Ji Maharaj from Ayodhya captivated thousands of devotees through his narration of the Shiv Mahapuran. The Chief Minister extended his salutations to the saints at the Vyaspith and expressed gratitude and congratulations to the organising committee for this magnificent spiritual event.

He stated that under the visionary guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, pilgrimage tourism is being redefined and expanded.

Referring to the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana, the Chief Minister said that over 22,000 devotees from the state have already had the opportunity to visit Ayodhya Dham and receive darshan of Prabhu Shri Ram. He added that this scheme has become a powerful medium to strengthen people’s spiritual connection with Shri Ram.

Further, he mentioned the revival of the Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana, through which elderly devotees from the state are being taken to 19 prominent pilgrimage sites across the country. This initiative is providing them with “spiritual contentment and a renewed sense of faith.”

Concluding his remarks, the Chief Minister offered prayers for peace, prosperity, and happiness in the state and wished that Lord Bholenath’s divine grace always remain upon the devotees. He extended his best wishes to the Mahamadheshwar Dham Committee for the successful execution of the event and affirmed that the State Government will transform Chhattisgarh into a new religious and tourism destination through a unique blend of devotion, culture, and development.

Chhattisgarh’s Revised Half Electricity Bill Scheme to Continue Benefiting 31 Lakh General and Economically Weaker Consumers

15 Lakh BPL Families to Receive Free Power; Strong Push Towards Solar-Based Self-Reliance

Raipur, August 4, 2025/ The Chhattisgarh government has rationalised the relief under its Half Electricity Bill Scheme for domestic consumers by revising the monthly relief limit. Instead of the earlier provision of 400 units per month, the scheme will now provide a 50% relief on electricity consumption up to 100 units per month.

Currently, the state has nearly 45 lakh domestic consumer households, of which 31 lakh households consume less than 100 units per month. This accounts for almost 70% of the total domestic consumers. Therefore, despite the revision, these 31 lakh needy families from general and economically weaker sections will continue to receive the benefits of the scheme as before.

Among these 31 lakh families are 15 lakh Below Poverty Line (BPL) households, which will continue to receive up to 30 units of electricity free of cost. These families will also remain eligible for all other benefits under the Half Electricity Bill Scheme without any change.

The state government is also actively implementing the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, under which consumers installing rooftop solar power plants are eligible for a maximum subsidy of up to ₹1,08,000, jointly provided by the Central and State governments.

Under this scheme, a 1 kilowatt capacity solar plant can generate approximately 120 units of electricity per month, with ₹30,000 from the Centre and ₹15,000 from the State, totaling ₹45,000 in financial support. The consumer needs to bear only around ₹15,000.

Similarly, a 2 kilowatt solar plant can produce approximately 240 units per month, and attracts a total subsidy of ₹90,000 (₹60,000 from Centre + ₹30,000 from State), requiring the consumer to contribute only ₹30,000.

A 3 kilowatt plant can generate around 360 units per month and is supported with ₹78,000 from the Centre and ₹30,000 from the State, making it a total of ₹1,08,000 in aid. In this case, the consumer contribution stands at ₹72,000, which can also be availed through bank loans.

It is noteworthy that consumers installing solar plants of 2 kW capacity or more will be able to produce over 200 units of electricity per month for 25 years, which exceeds the relief (200 units) earlier granted under the 400-unit cap of the Half Bill Scheme. These consumers will not only eliminate their monthly power expenses by using self-generated solar energy but can also feed surplus electricity into the grid and earn additional income.

The PM Surya Ghar Scheme aims to enable consumers with affordable electricity, sustainable savings, and energy self-reliance. Moreover, it is a significant step toward environmental responsibility. As a result, consumers in Chhattisgarh will naturally transition from the Half Electricity Bill Scheme to a ‘Zero Electricity Bill’ model.

The initiative will empower consumers to become self-reliant energy producers (“Urja-Datas”) by generating electricity on their own rooftops. This strategic shift will drive the state towards a future defined by clean energy, economic savings, and self reliance in energy.

Chhattisgarh Makes Strategic Strides in Critical Mineral Discovery Under CM Vishnu Deo Sai’s Leadership

Raipur, 5 August 2025:

In a significant milestone for mineral development, M/s Deccan Gold Mining Limited (DGML) has discovered Nickel, Chromium, and Platinum Group Elements (PGEs) in its recently acquired composite license area in Chhattisgarh. The breakthrough is being seen as a major step in unlocking the potential of critical and strategic minerals in the state, paving the way for a new era of scientific exploration.

The mineral find has been made in the Bhalukona–Jamnidih Ni, Cr & Associated PGE Block, which spans 3000 hectares in Mahasamund district. The Geological Survey of India (GSI) had earlier conducted G4-level exploration of the block and identified promising mineralization of Nickel, Chromium, and PGEs. Building on this foundation, the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Chhattisgarh (DGM, CG) validated the geo-scientific data and proceeded with an e-auction process.

The block was successfully auctioned on March 6, 2023, with DGML securing it by offering the highest bid of 21 percent. Since then, DGM, CG has extended continuous support and technical guidance to fast-track exploration activities. After receiving requisite clearances for non-destructive exploration in forest zones, DGML quickly initiated fieldwork including geological mapping, rock chip sampling, drone-based magnetic surveys, and Induced Polarization (IP) surveys to demarcate mineralized zones.

Preliminary findings have been encouraging, with a 700-meter-long mineralized zone identified in prospective mafic-ultramafic rock formations. Geophysical data further indicates the presence of sulphide mineralization up to a depth of 300 meters, suggesting substantial mineral potential in the area.

Adjacent to this discovery zone lies the Kelwardabri Ni, Cr & PGE Block, which was earlier auctioned to M/s Vedanta Limited. The two blocks together are expected to emerge as a high-potential critical mineral hub in Mahasamund, placing Chhattisgarh on the strategic mineral development map of India.

Reacting to the development, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said, “This landmark discovery is a crucial step towards securing vital mineral resources for the state and the nation. It aligns with the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission, promoting self-reliance and sustainable development in strategic sectors. The Government of Chhattisgarh remains fully committed to promoting scientific and sustainable mineral exploration to contribute meaningfully to the country’s growth."

The discovery comes at a time when the state is actively pursuing an ambitious mineral exploration roadmap for 2024–25, with over 50% of the planned projects dedicated to critical and strategic minerals. So far, Chhattisgarh has successfully auctioned 51 mineral blocks, which includes 10 blocks of key resources such as graphite, nickel, chromium, PGEs, lithium, glauconite, phosphorite, and graphite-vanadium. In addition, six tin blocks have been submitted to the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, for auction in the near future.

To institutionalize efforts in this direction, DGM, CG has set up a dedicated Critical Mineral Cell aimed at providing expert guidance and promoting collaboration with academic, research, and industry institutions to enable advanced exploration and beneficiation of these resources.

Commenting on the broader implications, Shri P. Dayanand, Secretary, Department of Mineral Resources, said, “This discovery is not just a scientific success but a strategic leap forward. With growing global demand for green and high-tech applications, critical minerals like nickel and PGEs are the backbone of future technologies. Chhattisgarh is determined to play a pivotal role in India's strategic mineral map, and we are ensuring all necessary institutional and operational support to accelerate this momentum.”

Experts believe that this achievement further consolidates Chhattisgarh’s position as a mineral-rich state and lays a strong foundation for future discoveries in critical mineral exploration — vital for advancements in technology, national security, and clean energy sectors.

Raipur, August 3, 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today addressed the ‘Gyan Dhara – Shiksha Samvad’ (Education Dialogue) event, organized by Haribhoomi and INH Media Group in Raipur. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to education, the Chief Minister said, “Our government considers education as the foundation of nation-building. Since the day I took charge of the Education Department, my top priority has been to deeply understand the challenges and implement concrete reforms.”

He shared that the state conducted an in-depth review which revealed that, despite a student-teacher ratio better than the national average, there was an unequal distribution — with rural areas facing a shortage of teachers while urban schools had a surplus. To correct this imbalance, the state initiated a rationalization process. “As a result, no school in Chhattisgarh is without a teacher today. Villages like Irakbhatti, where schools were shut for years, have now reopened,” he added.

Acknowledging the continued demand for teachers, CM Sai announced that recruitment for 5,000 new teachers will soon begin.

National Education Policy: Local Languages, Modern Infrastructure

Highlighting the effective implementation of the National Education Policy 2020, the CM said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, NEP has been rolled out across India, and our state has adopted it with urgency and commitment.”

He said that primary education is now being imparted in 18 local languages and dialects across Chhattisgarh, enhancing both cultural preservation and learning outcomes.

He further shared that under the PM-SHRI School Scheme, students are receiving hi-tech facilities, and ₹133 crore has been sanctioned for the maintenance of school buildings. Hostels are also being upgraded to provide better accommodation and services to students.

From Naxalism to Development: Bastar’s Transformation

Addressing the issue of left-wing extremism, the Chief Minister said, “Chhattisgarh is a state blessed with minerals, forests, fertile lands, and biodiversity, yet it has long suffered due to Naxalism.” He said that during a review meeting with Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, it was decided to combat Naxalism through a dual strategy—of both security and development. “We appealed to the Naxals to surrender and return to the mainstream, and the results have been encouraging — over 1,500 Naxals have surrendered so far,” said CM Sai.

Security forces have neutralized several active Naxals, and the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ rehabilitation scheme has been launched for their reintegration. “The permanent solution to Naxalism lies not just in force but in expanding access to education, roads, electricity, and drinking water,” he added.

He proudly noted that Dhudhmaras village in Bastar has been ranked among the top 20 global tourism villages, marking a milestone for Chhattisgarh. He further said that tourism has now been granted industry status, and the ambitious Bodhghat Project in Bastar aims to provide irrigation for 7 lakh hectares and generate 200 MW of electricity.

Massive Leap in Higher Education

Reflecting on 25 years of Chhattisgarh’s educational journey, the CM said, “There was a time when the state had only one medical college. Today, we have 15 functional medical colleges.”

He added that 19 private universities have been established, and 3 more are in the pipeline.

“India was once the Vishwaguru (global teacher) and is now moving back toward that stature. Students from abroad are coming to India for education. Our aim is to make Chhattisgarh a hub of higher education,” he emphasized.

Viksit Chhattisgarh by 2047: Education a Top Priority

CM Sai said the state government has prepared a comprehensive Vision Document for building a ‘Viksit Chhattisgarh’ (Developed Chhattisgarh) by 2047. “Education has been accorded top priority in this vision. Our goal is to align the quality of our schools and colleges with international standards, and make education a powerful contributor to the state’s GSDP,” he said.

Towards the end of the program, CM Vishnu Deo Sai felicitated distinguished educators with the “Utkrisht Shikshak Samman” (Excellence in Teaching Award). The awardees included Ms. K. Sharda, Mr. B.R. Sahu, Mr. Bharat Kishore Yadav, Dr. Dhananjay Pandey and Mr. Baldau Singh Shyam.

Raipur, August 3, 2025: The construction of Chhattisgarh’s new Vidhan Sabha building in Nava Raipur is swiftly reaching its final phase. On Saturday, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, and Deputy CM and PWD Minister Arun Sao visited the site to review progress and directed officials to ensure timely completion by September 2025. The goal is to dedicate the new complex to the public during the state’s Rajyotsav celebrations on November 1.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Sai emphasized that 2025 marks the silver jubilee (Rajat Jayanti) of Chhattisgarh’s formation and will be celebrated with great enthusiasm. “This iconic Vidhan Sabha building is nearing completion and will be a historic gift to the people of Chhattisgarh during the Rajat Jayanti year,” he said. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to inaugurate the building during the Rajyotsav celebrations.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said the project has entered its final stage. “Today, we reviewed key components including the Speaker's chamber, CM’s office, and the entire premises. The inauguration will take place as scheduled,” he affirmed.

The new Vidhan Sabha building beautifully blends Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage and traditional architectural elements with cutting-edge facilities. The structure features three main wings — Wing A will house the Assembly Secretariat; Wing B will accommodate the offices of the CM, Speaker, the main Assembly hall and Central Hall; Wing C will be dedicated to the Deputy CMs and other ministers.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao remarked, “This is not just a government structure — it’s a symbol of Chhattisgarh’s cultural grandeur and architectural legacy.”

Spread across 52 acres, the new complex is designed with advanced technical features and aesthetic elegance. The Assembly hall will seat 200 legislators and will include an ultra-modern auditorium with a 500-person spectator capacity. The complex will also include parking for 700 vehicles and two proposed lakes, each spread across 1.5 acres. Once completed, the building is expected to set a national benchmark for its unique architecture and integrated facilities.

As thousands of devotees carried holy water in decorated Kanwars, the Chief Minister joined them and performed Rudrabhishek of Lord Bholenath, offering prayers for the happiness, prosperity, and welfare of the people of Chhattisgarh.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Sai said, “Today, a sea of devotees marched from Maruti Mangalam Bhavan, Gudhiyari to the Hatkeshwarnath Mahadev Temple for Jalabhishek. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh today flagged off the much-awaited Raipur-Jabalpur Express train from Raipur Railway Station, marking a new chapter in inter-state connectivity. The grand launch was attended virtually by Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Mansukh Mandaviya, as well as Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav, from the main event held in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Simultaneously, the Rewa-Pune (Hadapsar) Express and Bhavnagar Terminus–Ayodhya Express were also inaugurated from their respective locations.

CM Sai hailed the occasion as a milestone in India’s rail expansion, stating, “Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and the efforts of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, three new train services are being launched today, with Chhattisgarh receiving the invaluable gift of the Raipur-Jabalpur Express.” Expressing gratitude on behalf of Chhattisgarh’s 30 million citizens, he highlighted that the state’s railway budget has seen a 21-fold increase over the last decade, with ₹6,900 crore allocated this year alone.

“Rail projects worth over ₹47,000 crore are currently operational in Chhattisgarh, which will elevate the region’s rail infrastructure and passenger services to new heights,” CM Sai noted. He also emphasized the redevelopment of 32 stations under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ at a cost of ₹680 crore.

CM Shri Sai particularly thanked PM Modi for prioritizing development in the conflict-affected Bastar region by sanctioning vital projects like the Raoghat-Jagdalpur railway line. He added that this new Raipur-Jabalpur service will enhance connectivity for tourism, education, and trade, linking key religious and tourist hubs such as Dongargarh and Bhedaghat.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh called the launch “historic,” stating, “This rail link will significantly improve connectivity between Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh.” He highlighted that the train will cover the 410-km Raipur–Jabalpur distance in just 8 hours, enabling easier travel to Gondia, Balaghat, and Jabalpur. He further noted that 32 stations, including major hubs like Raipur, Bilaspur, and Durg, are being redeveloped to enhance passenger amenities.

Dignitaries present included MP Brijmohan Agrawal, MLAs Motilal Sahu and Purandar Mishra, South East Central Railway GM Tarun Prakash, and DRM Raipur Dayanand, along with a large gathering of citizens.

The new express train service strategically connects Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh, offering passengers a fast, convenient alternative. Railway officials shared the schedule: Train No. 11701 will depart Raipur at 2:45 PM and reach Jabalpur at 10:45 PM. On the return, Train No. 11702 will leave Jabalpur at 6:00 AM and arrive in Raipur by 1:50 PM.

The train comprises 15 coaches: 1 AC Chair Car, 4 Chair Cars, 8 General Coaches, 1 Power Car, and 1 SLRD coach. It is expected to serve traders, students, tourists, and daily commuters effectively.

The route covers culturally and ecologically rich cities like Raipur, Dongargarh, Balaghat, Nainpur, and Jabalpur. With easier access to attractions like Nandanvan Zoological Park, Maa Bamleshwari Temple, Kanha National Park, Bhedaghat, and Dhuandhar Falls, the new service promises to boost regional tourism.

South East Central Railway’s latest initiative underscores its commitment to making train travel more accessible, secure, and convenient. The new link is set to strengthen regional ties and stimulate local economies across three states.
