RAIPUR, Oct. 29/ On the occasion of the birth centenary of Baba Kartik Uraon, the revered educator and social reformer, a Bhoomi Pujan (foundation-laying ceremony) was held today in Ambikapur. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the event as the chief guest.

Paying floral tribute to Baba Kartik Uraon, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai described him as “the pride of the tribal society.” He said that although Baba Kartik Oraon pursued higher education abroad, “he never abandoned his faith and culture.” Following the path laid down by his ancestors, he attained the highest education and devoted his life to guiding society toward enlightenment.

Each District will host festive events featuring Ministers, Members of Parliament, and Members of the Legislative Assembly as Chief Guests. The state government has released the full list of dignitaries assigned to preside over the celebrations in each district.

According to the official list, Dr. Raman Singh, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, will be the Chief Guest at Rajnandgaon, while Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam will preside over the event in Surguja. Raipur, October 28, 2025/Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai gave a fresh momentum to the all-round development of Farsabahar region in Jashpur district, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for 13 development projects worth ₹40 crore 89 lakh 26 thousand. The portfolio includes four completed projects worth ₹4 crore 16 lakh 41 thousand inaugurated and nine new works worth ₹36 crore 72 lakh 85 thousand for which foundation stones were laid.

Among the inaugurated works were 1.70 km road from Maskamara to Lavakera main road, built at a cost of ₹1 crore 81 lakh 32 thousand; The Ambakchar approach road (1.00 km) in Jashpur district constructed at a cost of ₹1 crore 29 lakh 56 thousand;The Mundadih approach road (0.90 km) in Jashpur, executed at a cost of ₹95 lakh 53 thousand.

In a significant move for sports development, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today witnessed the signing of an agreement between the Jashpur district administration and NTPC Limited to establish a state-of-the-art Archery Academy at Sanna Pandarapath in Bagicha block.

The ₹20.53-crore project, to be executed under NTPC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, will train a new generation of archers from tribal and rural communities. Collector Rohit Vyas and Bilash Mohanty, NTPC’s Additional General Manager (Human Resources), were present at the signing ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s camp office in Bagiya.

“This initiative will open new doors for Chhattisgarh’s youth,” said Sai, lauding NTPC’s contribution. “Jashpur has immense potential in archery, and this academy will give our young athletes the platform, training, and facilities to shine at the national and international level.”

Raipur October 28, 2025/Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and his wife Kaushalya Sai today offered arghya (obeisance) to the rising sun at KunKuri Chhath Ghat in Jashpur district on the auspicious occasion of Chhath Mahaparv. Extending his warm greetings to the people of the state, Chief Minister Shri Sai prayed for Chhattisgarh’s peace, prosperity, and well-being, calling Chhath Puja a profound symbol of solar worship and social harmony.

Calling it a deeply personal and spiritual moment, Chief Minister Shri Sai said it was a matter of great fortune for him to participate in this festival of faith and devotion in his own assembly constituency. He announced that ₹5.17 crore has been sanctioned for the beautification and development of the KunKuri Chhath Ghat, which will enhance facilities for devotees and visitors.

Raipur, October 23, 2025/Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today offered prayers to Gau Mata at the cowshed located in his official residence in Raipur on the occasion of Govardhan Puja. He offered prayers to Gau Mata, fed her khichdi as part of the traditional ritual of Gauseva, and prayed for the peace, prosperity, and happiness of the people of Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister said that Govardhan Puja is a sacred festival that expresses gratitude towards nature, cattle, and the environment. He extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on this auspicious occasion.

After the rituals, during the distribution of prasad, CM Sai personally offered sweets to the cow attendants (Gausevaks) and honoured them for their dedicated service. Appreciating their commitment, he urged everyone to take part in the protection and preservation of cattle. The Chief Minister also inspected the facilities at the cowshed. The attendants informed him that all necessary arrangements for the care and upkeep of the cattle were in place.

The Chief Minister said that Govardhan Puja symbolizes gratitude towards nature, food, and livestock. He described the cow as the foundation of Indian culture, deeply connected not only with rural life but also forming the core of India’s economy and faith.

He further added that the spirit of cow service and nature worship is deeply rooted in the soil of Chhattisgarh. “Honouring the cow, the grain, and the earth is akin to bowing before the divine maternal force that sustains our lives. Raipur, October 21, 2025/On the occasion of Police Commemoration Day, Governor Shri Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the Shaheed Vatika in the state capital Raipur today. Both dignitaries offered floral tributes at the Amar Jawan Stambh, saluting the brave police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

They remembered the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs and expressed their deep respect and gratitude towards the families of the brave martyrs.
