Raipur. : To commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, a grand state-level Tribal Pride Day celebration will be held on November 19th and 20th at the PG College grounds in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh. The program will begin at 10 a.m. On November 20th, President of India, Mrs. Draupadi Murmu, will attend the event as the chief guest.

Chhattisgarh Governor Shri Ramen Deka will preside over the closing ceremony of the Tribal Pride Day celebrations. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai along with Union Tribal Affairs Minister Shri Jual Oram, Union Minister of State Shri Durga Das Uikey, Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Arun Saw, Shri Vijay Sharma, Tribal Development Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, Finance Minister Shri Omprakash Chaudhary, Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal and Surguja Lok Sabha MP Shri Chintamani Maharaj will be present as special guests. Mayor of Municipal Corporation Ambikapur Smt. Manjusha Bhagat along with ministers, MPs, MLAs, Chairman, Vice Chairman of Municipal Board and Commission and District Panchayat along with local public representatives and enlightened people of the society will also participate in the program.

During the Gaurav Janjati Samaroh, a national level seminar on the glorious tribal history and folk heroes (contribution of tribes in the freedom struggle) will be organized on November 19. Along with this, North Chhattisgarh region tribal folk dance festival, Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh folk art dance competition and Surguja division state level tribal development exhibition and craft fair will be organized. On November 20, the heroes of tribal rebellions and family members of freedom fighters will be honored by President Smt. Draupadi Murmu. On this occasion, Chief Minister Baiga, Guniya, Hadjod Samman Yojana will be launched.
