CG : President Draupadi Murmu attended the Tribal Pride Day, watch the live telecast of the ceremony
Ambikapur. CG NEWS: President Draupadi Murmu arrived on Chhattisgarh tour for the second time in eight months. She reached Ambikapur by Air Force helicopter. She participated in the Gaurav Diwas celebrations organized on Birsa Munda Jayanti at PG College ground. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oraon, Minister of State Durga Das Uikey and Minister of State Tokhan Sahu are also present in the function. Earlier, President Murmu had reached Raipur on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee program of the Legislative Assembly.
Speaking at the Tribal Pride Day event in Ambikapur, President Draupadi Murmu said that women are society's heritage. It is said that if women progress, society will develop. She also said that Lord Birsa Munda made life difficult for the British.
Murmu said that the British only saw Birsa Munda. We are Birsa Munda's generation. We have to preserve tribal culture. President Murmu honored tribal youth and inaugurated projects related to Vaidyas and religious places on the occasion of Birsa Munda's birth anniversary.
The first of these schemes is for traditional healers. She will also meet Dr. Rajendra Prasad's adopted child 70 years ago. This is her second visit to Chhattisgarh in eight months.
At the event, CM Sai said that electricity has reached the homes of tribals in Chhattisgarh, and Naxalism has been broken in Bastar. Tribals are developing, and the people of Bastar are receiving rations. Governor Ramen Deka said that Birsa Munda was a great hero, who is being remembered today.
