Salute to the martyr's sacrifice: Wife receives an honorarium of 1 crore 10 lakh rupees, government fulfills its duty
An important step has been taken in Bijapur district to honor and support the families of martyred soldiers. The wife of martyred constable Dinesh Nag was provided financial assistance of ₹1.10 crore under the Police Salary Package Scheme. The check was issued by the State Bank of India, Bijapur branch, and was formally handed over by Bijapur Superintendent of Police, Dr. Jitendra Kumar Yadav.
It is noteworthy that on August 18, 2025, Constable Dinesh Nag, posted with the DRG in Bijapur, was martyred in an IED blast carried out by Maoists during an anti-Maoist operation. This assistance has been provided by the police department in recognition of his supreme sacrifice for the security of the country and the state.
This cheque for ₹1.10 crore (one crore ten lakh rupees) issued under the Police Salary Package Scheme was presented to the martyr's wife, Mrs. Pooja Nag. Additional Superintendent of Police (Ops) Aman Kumar Jha, Additional Superintendent of Police Chandrakant Govarna, State Bank of India Bijapur Branch Manager Abhay Pratap Singh, BDM Vijay Jhadi, and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
Officials said that this assistance represents respect, gratitude, and support for the family of martyred constable Dinesh Nag . It not only provides financial stability to the family but also sends a message that the government and administration stand firmly with the families of martyrs.
The police administration clarified that the martyred soldier's sacrifice will never be forgotten. Constable Dinesh Nag 's martyrdom will continue to be an inspiration for generations to come, and his name will always be remembered with respect.
