Health Minister Jaiswal gave important instructions in the review meeting of CGMSC.
00 Timely supply of medicines should be ensured, necessary action will be taken on negligence
Raipur. Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal today attended an important review meeting of Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation (CGMSC). In the meeting, a detailed review of the issues related to medicines, medical equipment and health infrastructure in the state was done. The Health Minister directed that under no circumstances there should be a shortage of essential medicines in the state and timely supply of medicines should be ensured. He said that in this matter of public importance, it is necessary that timely and quality medicines should be made available to the common citizens.

To make the drug supply system more efficient and transparent, the Health Minister directed the development of a live tracking system to obtain real-time information on the availability, stock, and expiry of medicines in hospitals. He also emphasized the need to ensure the availability of medicines at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and to establish better coordination between demand and supply. Instructions were given
during the meeting to ensure strict adherence to all quality testing standards for medicines and medical equipment. Emphasis was also placed on maintaining the consistent availability of essential consumables for hospitals. The Health Minister also directed that necessary action be taken against districts that are not receiving medicines despite submitting their demands. He directed that the procurement of all essential medical equipment be completed by March 31, 2026, and that reagents for laboratories be promptly available.

Regarding health infrastructure, the Minister directed that the construction of Mahasamund, Kanker, and Korba Medical Colleges be completed within the stipulated timeframe. He also directed that the construction of 12 new nursing colleges and 6 new physiotherapy colleges in the state be commenced soon. At the conclusion of the meeting, CGMSC Chairman Deepak Mhaske expressed his gratitude to the Health Minister, stating that the meeting was extremely useful and fruitful in his presence. He stated that the instructions given in the meeting would be promptly reviewed and necessary action would be taken for their effective implementation, so that the state's health services could be further strengthened.
