Life has taken a new turn in Lemru, with the Sanjeevani 108 service providing prompt treatment to villagers.

Raipur: A new chapter in healthcare has begun in the extremely remote forested Lemru region of Korba district. Located approximately 80 to 90 kilometers from the district headquarters, this region is geographically challenging and home to a large population of Specially Protected Backward Tribes (Specially Protected Tribes) such as the Pahari Korwa and Birhor. For a long time, this area remained virtually cut off from healthcare facilities, requiring five to six hours of precious time to transport a patient to a hospital in an emergency. Often, the lack of timely treatment led to a serious condition.

Taking this challenge seriously, the administration has launched the Sanjeevani Express 108 ambulance service in the Lemru region. Launched under the initiative and guidance of Collector Mr. Kunal Dudawat, this service is proving to be life-saving for this forested region. Equipped with modern medical equipment, these ambulances now reach villages with a single phone call, providing immediate treatment to patients.
