Strengthening health services: Two years' achievements and future plans
Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, in a press conference today, informed about the state government's health department's achievements in the last two years and its action plan for the next three years. He said that the government's goal is not only to treat diseases, but also to ensure timely detection, prevention, and quality health care. The minister said that human resources are the backbone of health services. In the last two years, approximately 1639 posts of doctors, nurses, and various cadres have been filled under DHS and NHM, while the recruitment process for 2300 posts is ongoing. Under the National Health Mission, medical specialists and physicians are being recruited every month through online applications.
