7.12 crore rupees approved for construction of Rauchan reservoir and Rano stop dam ramp.
Raipur. The Chhattisgarh Government, Water Resources Department, has approved ₹7,12,63,000 for two irrigation projects. Among the approved projects, ₹3,72,82,000 has been sanctioned for the topside works, canal renovations, and lining of the Rauchan Reservoir Project in the Bodla development block of Kabirdham district. Upon completion, the proposed projects will provide irrigation facilities to farmers in a total area of 378.55 hectares, including the 160-hectare shortfall against the projected irrigation capacity of 346.55 hectares, and additional irrigation of 32 hectares using water savings.
₹3,39,81,000 has been approved for the construction of the Rano Dam and Barrage in the Saja development block of Durg district. The project will provide drainage, drinking water, and groundwater enrichment, as well as 50 hectares of irrigation facilities for farmers using their own resources. Administrative approval has been issued from Water Resources Ministry Mahanadi Bhawan to Chief Engineer Mahanadi Godavari Floodplain, Water Resources Department Raipur.
