The glorious story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj comes alive through the epic play 'Janata Raja'.

Raipur . A grand staging of the historical epic "Janata Raja" began on February 19th at the Science College grounds in the capital. This special presentation will be held every evening until February 22nd. This three-hour-long grand theatrical production presents the story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life, struggle, and the establishment of Hindavi Swarajya through lively visuals, elaborate stage decorations, and state-of-the-art technology. Auditions were held at the Sant Dnyaneshwar Auditorium of the Maharashtra Mandal for this event, organized under the auspices of the Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission. Approximately 40 local

artists
from various age groups were selected and participated in the play after extensive practice under the guidance of director Yogesh Shirole. Several talented performers, including Pranjal Bakshi, Vartika Kshirsagar, Kriti Lad, Akanksha, and Aastha Kale, delivered impressive performances.

The grand stage setting and lively visuals,
including the contingent of soldiers on horseback, were a major draw for the audience. The presence of camels also added to the grandeur of the performance. Technical experts Kaushik Naik and Vaibhav Joshi, who came from Pune, made the stage decoration and lighting particularly impressive. Various cultural performances, including traditional Koli songs, added a historical touch to the event.

Minister Vishnu Dev Sai visited the Science College grounds on Thursday to observe the grand drama and address the audience. He stated that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life is an inspiring example of courage, patience, strategy, and ideal leadership. Referring to historical events involving Afzal Khan and Shaista Khan, he said that Shivaji Maharaj faced every challenge with wisdom and valor.

The Chief Minister also stated that Shivaji Maharaj was not only a great warrior but also a ruler with high ideals, who respected all religions and prioritized the dignity of women. Referring to the values ​​inculcated by his mother, Jijabai, he said that Shivaji's life embodies dignity, morality, and patriotism.
On this occasion, MLA Purandar Mishra, Youth Commission Chairman Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, Ajit Rao Apte associated with Mahanritya, officials of Maharashtra Mandal and a large number of citizens were present.
