Gram Sabha to be held on June 24 in the state; various topics including permanent waiting list of Awas Plus 2.0 to be discussed
Raipur,/ Gram Sabhas will be held in Chhattisgarh on June 24, 2026. The Panchayat and Rural Development Department has issued instructions to discuss and take decisions on various important public interest issues in the Gram Sabhas.
The Gram Sabha will specifically review and read the system-generated Permanent Waiting List (PWL) obtained from the Awas Plus 2.0 survey. The Gram Sabha will prepare a priority list of eligible beneficiaries in accordance with government guidelines and SOPs, and will complete the process of resolving claims and objections received from villagers as per the rules. After approval from the Gram Sabha, the Permanent Waiting List will be uploaded to the Awas software.
Apart from this, compliance report of the decisions of the previous meeting, review and approval of income and expenditure of the Panchayats, progress of works approved under various schemes, and other developmental issues will also be discussed in the Gram Sabha.
In the Gram Sabhas, villagers will also be informed about Vikas Bharat-Rozgar evam Aajeevika Mission (Gramin) VB-G RAM G and its implementation will be discussed.
All the Gram Panchayats of the state have been appealed to ensure maximum participation of villagers in the Gram Sabha and to increase public participation in decisions related to village development.
