Sakti. A young woman was shot dead in broad daylight on Friday in Chhattisgarh's Sakti district. Two masked bike-borne assailants fled the scene after the crime. Following the incident, panic gripped the area, and police are searching for the accused. The incident is said to have occurred in Jongra village under the Sakti police station area. The deceased has been identified as Purnima Chauhan, a businessman selling herbal life products.

According to eyewitnesses, two young men arrived on a motorcycle, both wearing masks. The accused suddenly shot Purnima Chauhan, who fell to the spot, seriously injured. After committing the crime, the two accused fled on their bike.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Sakti police arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, and began an investigation. A forensic team also arrived at the scene and collected evidence. Police are examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras and have deployed teams to identify and arrest the accused. At present, the motive behind the murder remains unclear. Police are investigating the case, considering all possible angles, including personal animosity and business disputes.
