Preparations underway to turn Cooperative Week into a mass movement, various events to be held across the state

Cooperative Week to be celebrated from 29th June to 6th July to mark completion of 5 years of Ministry of Cooperation

State level cooperative contemplation camp and cooperative fair will be held in Raipur under the chief patronage of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai.

Raipur: Cooperative week will be celebrated across the country from 29 June to 6 July 2026 to mark the completion of five years of establishment of the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India. In the same sequence, various programmes will be organised in Chhattisgarh with the aim of promoting prosperity, self-reliance and rural development through cooperation. State level Cooperative Chintan Shivir, Cooperative Fair, International Cooperative Day Celebration and Cooperative Seminar will be organised, in this programme Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai will be the chief guest and Cooperative Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap will preside.

Cooperation Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap reviewed the preparations

It is noteworthy that for the successful organization of Cooperative Week, Cooperative Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap held a review meeting with departmental officials on June 23rd. He also provided necessary guidelines to authorized officials of the state's PACS committees and divisional officers via video conferencing. Minister Shri Kashyap directed all related organizations and committees to ensure active participation in the event and to spread the cooperative movement to the masses.

Various programs will be held in 2573 PACS committees.

During Cooperative Week, various activities will be organized by all 2,573 PACS societies in the state, as well as dairy, fisheries, weavers, and other cooperative societies. These include hoisting the cooperative flag, membership drives, micro ATMs, Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and RuPay KCC card distribution, cooperative races, tree planting campaigns, soil testing, farmer seminars, discussions on the role of FPOs and PACS, and more.

Bhoomipujan will be done for 9 PACS warehouses

On the concluding day of the Cooperative Week on July 6, 2026, the Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Government of India will perform the Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of warehouses in 9 PACS of the state under the world's largest decentralized food storage scheme in the cooperative sector.

State level cooperative contemplation camp and cooperative fair to be held in Raipur

State level Cooperative Chintan Shivir, Cooperative Fair, International Cooperative Day Celebration and Cooperative Seminar will be organized on 3rd and 4th July 2026 at Krishi Mandapam Auditorium, Labandhi (Raipur) located in Indira Gandhi Agricultural University campus. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai will be the chief guest and Cooperative Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap will preside over this program. Cooperative institutions and national organizations will participate in the program. Along with PACS, Milk, Fisheries, Minor Forest Produce, Weavers and other cooperative societies, NABARD, NCDC, NCCF, NAFED, CSC, IFFCO, Kribhco, State Cooperative Federation and other major institutions will ensure their participation.

Models of prosperity through cooperation will be displayed.

The Cooperative Fair will showcase achievements, innovations, and successful models in the cooperative sector. Special activities will also be organized to connect farmers, women's groups, dairy farmers, fishermen, weavers, and rural entrepreneurs with cooperative schemes.

The meeting discussed the program outline, participation, and the successful conduct of various activities in detail. Everyone expressed their resolve to further strengthen the cooperative movement and ensure the successful completion of Cooperative Week with widespread public participation.
