Health, education, drinking water and infrastructure development will gain new momentum due to the efforts of Finance Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary.
A 100-bed Senior Citizen Health and Wellness Centre will be built in Vijaypur.
More than Rs 9.52 crore will be spent on expansion of health facilities.
Raipur, Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the continuous efforts of Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, development work in the mining-affected areas of Raigarh district is steadily gaining momentum. Various development projects costing more than Rs 26 crore have been approved from the District Mineral Fund (DMF) to expand health, education, drinking water, veterinary, and other infrastructure facilities. These projects will provide improved facilities to thousands of rural families and will give a new direction to the overall development of the region.
The largest approved project is the construction of a 100-bed Senior Citizen Health and Wellness Center in the Vijaypur area of Raigarh city, costing ₹167.3 million (167.3 million) 27,000. This modern center will provide dedicated healthcare services to senior citizens and further strengthen the district's healthcare system.
To strengthen health infrastructure, a total of over ₹95.2 million (95.2 million) has been approved for the construction and upgrading of various health institutions in the Lalungha, Dharamjaigarh, Gharghoda, and Tamnar development blocks. Completion of these works will provide better and more accessible health facilities to people in remote areas.
To promote livestock conservation and conservation, approval has also been given for the construction of new veterinary hospital buildings in the district. Veterinary hospital buildings will be constructed in various villages, including Patrapali in the Raigarh development block, providing livestock farmers with better treatment and consultation facilities at the local level.
To provide clean drinking water in rural areas, tube wells have been drilled and pumps installed in various villages in the Lalungha, Tamnar, Gharghoda, and Raigarh development blocks. These projects will provide relief to villagers from the drinking water crisis and strengthen the water supply system.
To strengthen education, nutrition, and food security, approval has been given for the construction of new Anganwadi buildings in Pelma and Lalpur in the Tamnar development block, and for primary school buildings in Pelma and Kharra. Funds have also been approved for the construction of a Public Distribution System (PDS) building in Lamidraha in the Raigarh development block, which will provide better ration distribution facilities to villagers.
The district administration has directed all construction agencies to complete the work in a timely and quality manner. Upon completion, these projects will expand health, education, drinking water, veterinary services, and other basic amenities in mining-affected areas, positively improving the lives of thousands of families. This development package will prove to be an important step towards the balanced and inclusive development of Raigarh.
