HNLU signs MoU with 20 International Universities for Global Innovation and Research
Raipur : Chhattisgarh's prestigious Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur has achieved a major strategic milestone, bringing glory to the state on the global academic scene. During a prestigious international summit held in Bangkok, Thailand, HNLU signed a historic multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for global university innovation and collaboration.
This historic agreement has been signed by 20 leading and prestigious universities from South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This move is considered a significant initiative by India to strengthen international cooperation in the areas of higher education, innovation, research, and sustainable development.
Global gathering held at ICONSIAM, Bangkok
The agreement was reached during the "AUAP - WURI Impact Summit 2026" held at the renowned ICONSIAM Convention Centre in Bangkok on July 9-10, 2026. The two-day international conference, which focused on university innovation in partnership with government – policy, mechanisms and impact, was attended by university leaders, policymakers, innovation experts and renowned academics from around the world.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Vivekanandan Presents 'R-HaS' Model Representing HNLU at the Summit, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan presented a case study based on the University's innovative Research Hub and Spoke (R-HaS) model. Through this presentation, he highlighted HNLU's interdisciplinary research ecosystem, externally funded research projects, and the University's commitment to socially responsible and impactful research on a global platform, which was highly appreciated by the experts present.
Expressing his delight at this strategic achievement, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vivekanandan said that HNLU is making impressive progress in showcasing and disseminating its research initiatives globally through meaningful partnerships with regional and global university organizations. This multilateral agreement is a milestone in expanding our international academic collaborations. During the conference, very fruitful discussions were held with AUAP Secretary General Prof. Dr. Anup Swarup and Executive Secretary Dr. Supaporn Chuangchid on joint conferences, research projects, faculty and student exchange programs.
Under the agreement, there will be joint work in these areas
Under Article 3 of the Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding, all 20 participating institutions will work together in the future to collaborate on innovation and research projects of global importance, exchange programs for faculty, researchers, and students, develop innovation ecosystems and promote startups, and develop international conferences, workshops, and case studies.
