Raipur - An important initiative was launched today in Chhattisgarh to connect rural students with future technologies and give a new direction to science-based education. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh flagged off the free mobile emerging technology lab operated under 'Bhavna Didi Ki Science Pathshala' from the Assembly premises today. This state-of-the-art mobile lab will reach out to the schools of Pandariya Assembly constituency and provide practical training to the students in modern technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Drones, 3D Printing, Coding, Internet of Things (IoT), Aeromodelling and Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR).
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that building a developed Chhattisgarh requires that children from rural areas also join the mainstream of modern science and technology. He said that 'Bhavna Didi's Science School' is not just a mobile lab, but an innovative initiative that will give new wings to the dreams of rural students. It will be an effective medium for developing scientific thinking, innovation, self-confidence, and technical proficiency in children.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today the entire world is rapidly moving towards artificial intelligence, robotics, drones, data science, and digital technologies. At such a time, it is essential that students in rural areas also gain knowledge and practical experience of these emerging technologies. He said that the state government is striving to ensure that there is no inequality in opportunities and that every village child becomes as competent in future technologies as a student in a metropolitan area. He said that the basic objective of the new education policy is to develop skills, innovation, experimentalism, and creative thinking in students. This mobile lab is a meaningful effort in that direction, which will not only teach children how to use technology but will also inspire them to create and innovate new technologies.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that today is an era of science and technology, and it is crucial to connect children with new technologies as time goes by. He added that innovative initiatives like "Bhavna Didi's Science School" will provide rural students with the same opportunities available to students in larger cities. This will increase children's curiosity about science, foster innovative thinking, and enable them to understand modern technologies and learn their practical applications.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that through the mobile lab, students will not be limited to bookish knowledge, but will also gain hands-on experience flying drones, operating robots, creating 3D models, and working with modern equipment. He said that this initiative will not only give rural talent a new direction but will also lay a strong foundation for future scientists, engineers, and technical experts. He praised Pandaria MLA, Mrs. Bhavna Bohra, for her continuous efforts to promote education, innovation, and the development of young talent in her constituency. This mobile science lab is also the result of her visionary thinking and commitment to education, which will bring positive changes to the lives of thousands of students in the future.
During the program, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai visited the Mobile Emerging Technology Lab. The instructors provided detailed information about the various equipment, training modules, and teaching methods available in the lab. The Chief Minister took special interest in personally inspecting AI, robotics, drones, and other technological equipment and learned how students would learn these technologies in practice. He described this as an innovative and inspiring effort to technologically empower rural talent. He observed the various technology modules on display in the lab, learned about the training process from the instructors, and appreciated the practical experience the students received. He said that experiment-based education fosters both interest in learning and confidence in students.
It is noteworthy that this Mobile Emerging Technology Lab will provide training by visiting government schools and Saraswati Shishu Mandirs in the Pandaria Assembly constituency. A team of five experienced trainers will conduct three- to five-day workshops in each school, providing students with hands-on training in modern technologies such as AI, robotics, drone and aeromodeling, 3D printing, coding, Internet of Things, and AR/VR. Students who complete the training will also receive certificates. Under this ambitious initiative, the goal is to provide technical education to more than five thousand students in the first year. In the first phase, students in grades 10, 11, and 12 will be given priority, while in subsequent phases, students in other classes will also benefit.
The most significant feature of this mobile lab is its hands-on learning approach. Students will gain hands-on experience flying drones, operating robots, coding, creating 3D models, and using technologies like AI and AR/VR. This will develop their technical understanding, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and a spirit of innovation. During the program, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai wrote their thoughts on the feedback board installed in the mobile lab and wished this innovative initiative a success. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Skill Development Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb, MLA Smt.
