ADB grant of 15 crore rupees: Cabinet approves 'Anjor Light' project, gives new impetus to Vision 2047
Raipur. An important decision was taken for the effective implementation of Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision-2047 in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.
The Cabinet approved the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) 'Anjor Lite (Anjor Linked Implementation & Guidance for Holistic Tracking)' technical assistance project, under which the state will receive a full grant of Rs 15 crore.
The special thing is that the state government or the central government will not have to make any financial contribution for this project.
The project will operate for three years, from December 1, 2026, to November 30, 2029. It will be coordinated through the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, while the Finance Department will be the nodal agency at the state level.
The Directorate of Institutional Finance will be responsible for its implementation and a Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) will be constituted for monitoring.
The objective of the project is to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation system of development schemes under Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision-2047.
Through this, Public Finance Management (PFM) will be strengthened, outcome-based budgeting, green budgeting and climate-friendly development projects will be promoted.
Technical cooperation will also be provided in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), concessional climate finance, public-private partnership (PPP) and institutional capacity development.
Under the project, a pipeline of priority-based development projects will be prepared for various departments.
Feasibility studies and policy support will be provided for new PPP projects along with improving the financial health, debt management and profitability of public sector undertakings.
The government believes that this initiative will boost investment in the state, give new impetus to green and sustainable development and help in achieving the goals of Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision-2047 in a timely manner.
Being completely grant-based, the project will provide new strength to the institutional capacity and development plans of the state without any additional financial burden.
