Raipur, August 26. BA (Mass Communication) students of Maharishi Valmiki College, Bhanu Pratappur, Bastar, on Tuesday made an informative educational tour of the Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication in Raipur. They were inspired and impressed by the community radio, TV studio, computer lab, under-construction AI and media research lab, library, academic buildings, etc.

The students of Bhanu Pratappur were inspired and motivated by meeting the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Manoj Dayal, Registrar Mr. Sunil Sharma, Assistant Registrar Mr. Dev Singh Patil, along with department heads, faculty, and students. The students expressed that their visit to the University of Journalism provided them with extensive and comprehensive knowledge about various technical nuances. During this important educational visit, Professor Dr. Manoj Dayal, Vice Chancellor of Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication, introduced the students to the intricacies of journalism and mass communication in his Vice Chancellor's office. Vice Chancellor Professor Dayal encouraged the students to regularly conduct comparative studies of newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, and digital media. He also encouraged them to conduct "comparative content analysis" of various media through direct observation before conducting research. A dozen students of the college expressed great happiness after visiting the university. These students went to the academic building of the university and met the students, chairpersons and teachers studying in various departments including the Department of Mass Communication, Department of Journalism, Department of Electronic Media, Department of Advertising and Mass Communication and shared their knowledge and experiences. After knowing about the various creative clubs, centres and groups being run here, they called it exemplary.

This visit of theirs, under the guidance of Mr. Dam Thali, teacher of the Department of Journalism of Maharishi Valmiki College, was a very pleasant experience. During this, the students recorded their message in the community radio Samvad 98.2 and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the entire university family including the Vice Chancellor for allowing them to visit the university.
