On National Sports Day, KTU organised traditional and innovative sports competitions. Students along with the Vice Chancellor and Registrar participated in them.
Raipur . Sport is not only a means of physical and mental fitness, it also provides the courage to fight till the last moment and achieve victory even in the most adverse circumstances. These views were expressed by Prof. Dr. Manoj Dayal, Vice Chancellor of Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication (KTU), Raipur, at a program organized on the occasion of National Sports Day.
Addressing this special program held on the university campus, Prof. Dayal said that sports instill in students life values such as team spirit, leadership skills, patience, enthusiasm, positivity, and mutual coordination. These qualities not only create a balanced and multifaceted personality, but also pave the way for a stress-free life in today's times.
On the occasion of National Sports Day, various traditional and innovative games were organised in the campus. Students and faculty members participated enthusiastically in competitions like 'Omkar Race', 'Kendra Kabaddi', 'Netaji Ki Pehchan', 'Mat Chooko Chauhan', 'Lion-Man-Gun' and 'Sudarshan Chakra'. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dayal was present in the programme along with the University Registrar Sunil Sharma, Heads of various departments, professors, staff and a large number of students. All of them displayed sportsmanship and participated enthusiastically in various competitions.
