Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, in the context of the proposed Seva Sankalp Abhiyan across the country from September 17 to October 17, on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's completion of 25 years of service in public life, has said that Prime Minister Modi's 25 years of public service is a journey of service, good governance, determination and results. This is a journey of extraordinary efforts of a person coming from an ordinary family. Sai was addressing an important press conference called at the BJP state office located in Kushabhau Thackeray complex here on Saturday.

Chief Minister Sai said that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is an expression of gratitude from the millions of families whose lives have been positively transformed by Prime Minister Modi's schemes. Modi's public life is inspiring to us. He is engaged in nation-building with commitment and integrity. Only with his discipline, dedication, and a spirit of service to the public can he succeed in his objectives.

Discussing Modi's special affinity with Chhattisgarh, Sai said that when he was an organizational official, he frequently traveled to remote areas like Bastar. As Chief Minister of Gujarat, he also shared experiences with Chhattisgarh on many development fronts. During his 25 years of public service, the Prime Minister has accomplished many historic public welfare works. In the past decade, approximately 250 million people in the country have been lifted out of extreme poverty. This demonstrates the profound change that the welfare schemes for the poor, based on Prime Minister Modi's vision, have brought about. Poor welfare has been the hallmark of this era. Through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, 810 million people in the country are receiving free food grains.

Tap water is reaching 41 lakh 50 thousand rural families of Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Sai said that under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, more than Rs 11,277 crore has been transferred directly to the accounts of 25.51 lakh farmers of Chhattisgarh. Modi has also brought a big change in the lives of women. Under the Ujjwala Yojana, about 39 lakh 54 thousand women of Chhattisgarh got freedom from smoke. Jal Jeevan Mission has reduced another big problem of mothers and sisters. Tap water is reaching 41 lakh 50 thousand rural families of Chhattisgarh. Underlining the special importance of the Prime Minister's sensitivity towards the tribal society, Sai said that for the first time the country got a woman President from the tribal society in the form of Mrs. Draupadi Murmu.

On the Prime Minister's initiative, the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda was recognized as Tribal Pride Day. This reflects his deep respect for tribal identity. Similarly, through the Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, work is being done for the overall development of 6,691 tribal villages in Chhattisgarh. Sai said that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has made the dream of a permanent home for poor families come true. About 1600 houses are being constructed every day in Chhattisgarh. The PM Janman Yojana has provided basic amenities to more than 56 thousand PVTG families.
