Visited and worshipped Vighnaharta seated in Gol Bazaar, prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state.

Raipur September 2026/ On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the historic Gol Bazaar of the capital Raipur was filled with the devotion of Ganpati Bappa and the joy of celebration. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai reached Gol Bazaar tonight and after seeing the Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, installed here by Shri Bajrang Navyuvak Mitra Mandal Ganeshotsav Samiti, he worshipped him with due rituals. The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Ganesha for happiness, peace, prosperity and well-being in the lives of every family of Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Sai crowned Lord Shri Ganesha, seated in the Ganeshotsav pandal near the Hanuman Temple at Gol Bazaar, and performed puja with a tilak. He performed aarti of Lord Ganesha amid chanting of mantras and sought blessings from Vighnavinayak for the state's progress, prosperity, and a happy life for the people of the state.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Lord Shri Ganesha is the first worshipped deity, the remover of obstacles, and the bringer of good fortune. Ganeshotsav, besides being an important festival of our faith and culture, also symbolizes our rich tradition that binds society together. He said that with the blessings of Lord Ganesha, Chhattisgarh continues to progress on the path of development and prosperity, and that he wishes that every household in the state be filled with happiness and prosperity.

The Chief Minister praised the glorious tradition of Ganeshotsav, which has been going on continuously for 117 years in Gol Bazaar. He said that keeping a cultural tradition alive through faith and social participation from generation to generation is special in itself. Such traditions not only preserve our cultural heritage but also connect the new generation to our culture and social values.

It is noteworthy that for the past 117 years, the Shri Bajrang Navayuvak Mitra Mandal Ganeshotsav Samiti has been installing the idol of Lord Ganesha on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi near the Hanuman Temple in the historic Gol Bazaar of the capital. Due to its grandeur and attractive appearance, the Ganesh idol installed here remains a major center of faith and attraction for devotees not only in Gol Bazaar but throughout Raipur. During Ganeshotsav, a large number of devotees reach here to have darshan and worship Lord Ganesha.

Upon Chief Minister Shri Sai's arrival at Gol Bazaar, officials of the Ganeshotsav Committee, local merchants, and citizens gave him a warm welcome. Amid the auspicious sound of drums and chants of Ganpati Bappa, the Chief Minister was greeted with garlands of flowers. Committee officials welcomed him by garlanding him with elephant figurines. The entire area was filled with the joy and devotion of Ganeshotsav.

After visiting and worshipping Lord Ganesha, Chief Minister Shri Sai visited the more than 150-year-old Hanuman Temple located in Gol Bazaar. He visited and worshipped Lord Hanuman here, praying for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state. The Chief Minister expressed his reverence for this ancient religious and cultural heritage of the capital.

On this occasion, Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal, Shri Shrichand Sundarani, Shri Kedar Gupta, Shri Chhagan Mundada, Shri Amarjeet Chhabra along with officials of Ganeshotsav Committee, local public representatives, businessmen and a large number of devotees were present.
