Make Seva Sankalp Abhiyan a festival of public participation: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai

On the evening of 17th September, the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a call was made to light a 'lamp of blessings' in every home.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai appealed to the people of the state to join the work of service, cleanliness, environmental protection and helping the needy.

Raipur, September 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has appealed to the people of the state to join the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' to be organised from September 17 to October 17 with full enthusiasm and affinity.

In his appeal to the people of the state, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the country's illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has dedicated 25 years of his public life to national and public service. In view of Prime Minister Shri Modi's birthday on September 17th, a "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" is being organized across the country from September 17th to October 17th.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that service is an integral part of Chhattisgarh's culture and values. Every citizen of the state should participate in this campaign and make it a widespread celebration of public service and public participation. The Chief Minister said that this campaign is an opportunity to spread the spirit of service to every person and to fulfill our responsibilities towards society and the nation through participation. He urged the people of the state to take active part in works related to cleanliness, environmental protection, assistance to the needy and public service in their villages, cities and surrounding areas and to connect as many people as possible with this campaign.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, poverty alleviation and development schemes have brought positive change to the lives of millions of families. Basic amenities like permanent housing, clean drinking water, electricity, roads, improved health and education have expanded. At the heart of every development achievement are the fulfillment of ordinary citizens' dreams, their increased self-confidence, and the prosperity they bring to life.

Light the 'Diya of Blessings' on the evening of 17th September

Chief Minister Shri Sai also made a special and heartfelt appeal to the people of the state on the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He said that on September 17th, at 7 pm, every family should light a 'lamp of blessings' in their homes and also involve nearby beneficiary families in this initiative.

The Chief Minister said that this lamp should be a symbol of the good wishes of the people of Chhattisgarh for the healthy and long life of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and also a symbol of the collective resolve for service, public welfare and building a developed India.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the country has gained new energy to move forward by linking poverty welfare and development with public participation. In keeping with this spirit, during the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, every section of society should perform some form of service according to their capacity. Only when the spirit of service is combined with public participation does it become a medium for widespread and lasting change in society.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh is committed to ensuring its strong participation in building a developed India. The resolve for a developed India will only be realized when our villages develop, cities progress, and every family joins the mainstream of development. The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is an opportunity to further strengthen this collective resolve.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state, saying, "Come, let us all make the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' a celebration of public participation in Chhattisgarh. By engaging in works of service and public welfare, let us ensure a developed Chhattisgarh's strong participation in building a developed India."
