State Election Commissioners to gather in Nava Raipur from today, brainstorming on electoral system and technology
Raipur. The 32nd All India State Election Commissioners Conference is being held on September 16th and 17th in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, the state capital . Hosted by the Chhattisgarh State Election Commission, this conference will be attended by Election Commissioners from various states across the country. Governor Ramen Deka willinaugurate the conference on September 16th at 10:30 am.
The two-day event will discuss measures to make Panchayat and urban body elections more transparent, inclusive, and credible. Along with the challenges of the election process, new technologies and systems being adopted in the states will also be discussed. Experts from Princeton University in New Jersey, USA, will share international electoral experiences. Meanwhile, experts from ECIL Hyderabad and BEL Bengaluru, related to EVM technology, will give technical presentations. The conference will focus on better use of technology, increasing transparency, and strengthening voter confidence.
