Raipur. September 2026. Deputy Chief Minister and Public Health Engineering, Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Saw inaugurated various development works worth Rs 23 crore 28 lakh 61 thousand and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth Rs 154 crore 88 lakh for Saraipali Municipality area in the inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan program organized at the new market premises of Saraipali today. On this occasion, the residents of the area got the gift of various development works including drinking water, community building, infrastructure and Amrit Mission. MP Smt. Roopkumari Chaudhary, MLA Smt. Chaturi Nand, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Scheduled Caste Commission Shri Ramlal Chauhan and Chairman of Chhattisgarh Shakambhari Board Shri Rajendra Nayak also participated in the program.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Saw inaugurated works worth Rs 1818.61 lakh for drinking water facility in 24 villages under Retro Fitting and Ekal Gram Yojana under Jal Jeevan Mission of Public Health Engineering Department and community buildings and other construction works in various wards worth Rs 510 lakh. He also performed Bhoomi Pujan of Rs 10.21 crore related to STP construction and development works worth Rs 139.55 crore under Jal Praday Amrit Mission 2.0 and various development and construction works worth Rs 512 lakh.

Addressing the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that any auspicious work receives the blessings of Lord Indra. Today, we are also receiving blessings in the form of rain. He said that our government is prioritizing development and public welfare projects. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sao, unprecedented development work is taking place in the state.
He said that whatever work our government performs the groundbreaking ceremony for, it also inaugurates it. The government's priority is to complete development projects in a timely manner and ensure that the public benefits are benefited. He said that Chhattisgarh had the stigma of Naxalism, which has been eradicated under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He reported that the Public Works Department has completed development works worth approximately ₹12,666 crore in two and a half years.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that along with Chhattisgarh, Saraipali is also developing at a rapid pace. Development work is continuously underway under the good governance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. Our double-engine government is working to change the condition and direction of the country. He said that there will be no shortage of funds for the development of Saraipali. Responding to the MP's request, the Deputy Chief Minister announced a grant of ₹5 crore for the area's development.

MP Mrs. Roopkumari Chaudhary stated that Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Arun Sao is carrying out development work in all areas without discrimination, which is benefiting the general public. She added that important steps have been taken toward the region's long-standing demand for a railway line, and survey work has now begun. MLA Mrs. Chaturi Nand expressed her gratitude to Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Arun Sao for approving Amrit Mission 2.0. She stated that this is not just a water scheme, but a significant gift that impacts the lives of thousands of families. When the Mahanadi River water reaches every home, a large number of people will benefit. She also expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sao and all the officials involved in this work. State Women's Commission member Mrs. Sarla Kosaria, District President of the Scout Guide Association Mr. Aitram Sahu, Municipal Council President Mrs. Saraswati Chandra, Vice President Mr. Hemant Pradhan, Collector Mr. Vinay Kumar Langeh, along with public representatives, councilors, officers, employees, and a large number of citizens were also present at the event.
