Raipur. Confusion has arisen regarding postings in Chhattisgarh's Food and Drug Administration Department. Bemetara officer Ashish Yadav has been promoted to Deputy Commissioner at Raipur headquarters. Meanwhile, Neelam Thakur, the designated officer for Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, has been called to the headquarters as Deputy Director.

Both officers arrived in Raipur and submitted their joining letters. However, they subsequently returned to their respective districts and are handling their work from there. The reason being is that they have not yet been relieved at the district lev

This means that while the postings are at headquarters on paper, the work is still being conducted from the districts. This has raised questions within the department about where the two officers' actual responsibilities lie.

The matter doesn't end there. It has also come to light that a food inspector in the department has been given the charge of Assistant Commissioner. It is being reported that he is issuing instructions to designated officers who are senior to him in the hierarchy. According to sources, this arrangement has caused resentment among some senior officials.

It is being told that after the Drug Controller returns from leave, the situation regarding the role and posting of the officers may become clear.
