BHILAI STEEL PLANT: CBI entry in BSP iron theft case!
Bhilai: A major twist has emerged in the iron theft case at the Bhilai Steel Plant. The CBI will now investigate the case. The state government has given its consent to a CBI investigation, and a gazette notification has been issued.
This is the same case in which crime number 277/2026 is registered at the Old Bhilai police station. The matter was raised in the Assembly by BJP MLA Rakesh Sen. Police have recently made several arrests in this case. According to the police, the investigation revealed that scrap stolen from the BSP was being disposed of at a private factory in Rasmada.
According to a state government notification, the CBI has been authorized to investigate this crime under Section 6 of the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act. The CBI will now investigate the network of thefts, alleged collusion, and other aspects of the case.
