Rahul Gandhi questions changes in Form 6, asks who in the Election Commission gave the order

New Delhi. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has raised questions about Form 6. In a post shared on social media, he asked who ordered the changes to Form 6. In the post, Rahul Gandhi wrote that Form 6 was changed illegally. Election Commission commissioners have also objected to this.

What did Rahul Gandhi write in his social media post?:
Rahul Gandhi also raised questions about Tata Consultancy Services. In his post, Rahul Gandhi asked, "Who at the Election Commission ordered Tata Consultancy Services to make this change? Who at TCS signed off on it? Was TCS pressured to do so?"

Rahul Gandhi's statement comes at a time when the opposition India Alliance has decided to launch Save Democracy marches in all districts. The opposition is demanding that future elections be held using ballot papers. They have also appealed to the Supreme Court to expedite hearings on the SIR cases.

The Election Commission has made a major change to Form 6:
It's worth noting that the Election Commission has made a major change to Form 6 in states that have completed the SIR process. Under this change, information from the 2003 voter list will no longer be required to re-include a name after it has been deleted from the SIR. Applicants will no longer need to disclose whether their parents' or grandparents' names were included in the 2003 list.

The Election Commission's order issued on Wednesday stated that where the voter list revision process has been completed, the Election Commission has withdrawn the Form 6 notification. This means that in states where the SIR process is due, applicants will now only need to submit the regular Form 6.
