School holidays in October: Schools will remain closed for several days from Gandhi Jayanti to Dussehra, see the full list
School Holidays: The month of October will be a special one for school students in terms of holidays. Several festivals, including Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra, are falling during this period, which will result in school holidays in different states. However, the dates and number of holidays will not be the same across all states. This will depend on the respective state's education department, school board, and school's annual calendar.
Students and parents should note that declaring a festival a government or gazetted holiday does not necessarily mean that all schools nationwide will be closed on that day. For final information regarding school holidays, please consult the official notice issued by the relevant education department or school.
