Maharashtra Double Accident: Two major accidents within 24 hours, 15 people dead

Raipur. Two major accidents in Maharashtra have shocked people. Eight students who had gone for a picnic to Diveagar Beach in Raigad drowned in the sea. The following day, seven people lost their lives when a truck and a pickup collided on the Samruddhi Expressway in Amravati.

Picnic turns into mourning in Raigarh

11th-12th grade students from Winners Academy in Alandi, Pune, had gone on a picnic to Diveagar Beach. The group of 48 people included 25 boys, 17 girls, and 6 teachers. Some students entered the sea and failed to accurately assess the depth of the water and the waves. Eight students died in the accident. All bodies have been recovered, and the police have launched an investigation.

The deceased have been identified as Tanmay Vahile, Sumit Ahire, Pranav Bansode, Kaivalya Vasankar, Rajveer Vahile, Yash Wankhede, Soham Bhandavalkar and Kaustubh Daund.

Horrific collision on the highway in Amravati

The second incident occurred near channel 97 of the Samruddhi Expressway in Amravati district. A pickup truck carrying a Durga idol from Shegaon to Wardha was hit from behind by a truck. Seven people died on the spot and several others were injured. Police have detained the truck driver and launched an investigation.
