SHOAIB DHEBAR CASE: Policeman absconding before raid in search of Shoaib, line attached

Raipur. Police raided several locations in search of Shoaib Dhebar, accused of allegedly demanding ₹25 crore (250 million rupees) in extortion money from Congress leader Anand Kukreja. Teams visited nearly half a dozen locations, including Palm Bellagio and the family residence in Baron Bazaar, but Shoaib was not found.

According to reports, he had already left the scene before the police arrived. Now the biggest question is: did Shoaib already know about the police action?

Amidst this concern, constable Shivam Dwivedi, posted in the Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit, has been attached to the line. However, the available police order cites administrative reasons for the action, and the full investigation into the alleged leak of confidential information has not been made public.

The police are now expanding their search for Shoaib to possible hideouts in Raipur and other states. The search was intensified after the court granted permission for his re-arrest.

The case involves alleged extortion and threats of ₹25 crore. Shoaib was initially arrested after a police investigation revealed his role. After he was later granted bail, the police obtained permission to re-arrest him.
