On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, hostel infrastructure for tribal students was expanded in Jashpur.
Approval of Rs 77 crore 86 lakh for construction of 24 post and pre-matric hostel buildings.
Students from remote areas will get safe, well-equipped and better residential-educational environment.
Raipur, October 2026/ As directed by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, work is progressing rapidly to expand residential and educational facilities for tribal students in Jashpur district. A total of ₹77.86 crore has been approved for the construction of 24 post- and pre-matric Scheduled Tribe hostel buildings in the district. The construction of these hostels will provide students, especially those from remote and rural areas, with safe and comfortable accommodation and a better environment for study.
Approved works include post-matric and pre-matric Scheduled Tribe boys and girls hostels. The construction of these hostels in various development blocks of the district will expand student housing, study, and daily necessities.
New hostel buildings will be constructed in various areas of the district
Among the approved works, Rs 1 crore 92 lakh has been approved for Post Matric Scheduled Tribe Girls Hostel Jashpur, Rs 1 crore 53 lakh each for Pre-Matric Scheduled Tribe Boys Hostel Lodam and Paiku, Rs 1 crore 92 lakh each for Post Matric Boys Hostel Manora and Bagicha and Rs 1 crore 53 lakh for Pre-Matric Boys Hostel Rauni.
Similarly, Rs 1 crore 92 lakh each has been approved for Post Matric Scheduled Tribe Girls Hostel Patratoli and Boys Hostel Duldula, Rs 1 crore 53 lakh each for Pre-Matric Boys Hostel Duldula and Kunkuri No. 02.
Rs 1 crore 92 lakh each has been approved for Post Matric Scheduled Tribe Boys Hostel Pandripani and Tapkara, Rs 1 crore 53 lakh each for Pre-Matric Boys Hostel Lavakera, Pandripani and Dokra and Rs 1 crore 92 lakh for Post Matric Boys Hostel Dokra.
Approval of Rs 2 crore 89 lakh has been given for the post-matric Scheduled Tribe boys hostel in Kansabel and Rs 1 crore 53 lakh for the pre-matric boys hostel. Along with this, Rs 1 crore 53 lakh has been approved for the pre-matric boys hostel in Bataikela, Rs 1 crore 92 lakh for the post-matric boys hostel in Kotba and Rs 1 crore 53 lakh for the pre-matric boys hostel. Approval of Rs 1 crore 53 lakh each has also been given for the pre-matric Scheduled Tribe boys hostel in Baghbahar and Gala.
Education of tribal students from remote areas will become easier.
The construction of new hostel buildings will greatly benefit tribal students coming from remote villages to pursue higher and secondary education. They will have access to safe accommodation near their educational institutions, a conducive environment, and necessary facilities for study.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, priority is being given to strengthening educational infrastructure and providing better facilities to students in Jashpur district. The construction of hostel buildings will not only facilitate access to education for tribal students but will also expand their quality residential and educational environment.
