Raipur, October 2026/ Taking another major step towards modernizing infrastructure and civic amenities in Chhattisgarh, Transport Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap on Monday formally inaugurated the newly constructed District Transport Office building in Parsabhader Gram Panchayat of Balodabazar. During this program held in the presence of Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, with the aim of giving a new dimension to tourism and environmental protection in the area, approval was also given for 4 new gypsies for Sonbarsa Jungle Safari and Rs 1.5 crore for beautification and infrastructure development works of the premises.

Following the inauguration, ministers, senior officials, and public representatives inspected various rooms of the newly constructed, fully equipped District Transport Office building. The two ministers lauded the building's high-quality construction style and directed officials to pay special attention to public convenience and citizen-centric amenities.

Addressing the ceremony, Transport Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap stated that the state government is rapidly modernizing transport services, prioritizing public aspirations. In the future, all work related to the Transport Department will be completely digital, providing citizens with unprecedented convenience in completing their essential tasks from the comfort of their homes. Referring to the more than 214,000 vehicles registered in the district, he emphasized the importance of following traffic rules. Expressing concern over the tendency of schoolchildren to drive, he urged parents to educate their children about traffic safety to prevent potential accidents. He also mentioned the "Rahveer Yojana" for road accident victims, stating that it provides free and cashless treatment up to 1.5 lakh rupees. He expressed happiness over the successful operation of transport facilitation centers at the district's five Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies (PACS) and the issuance of 572 learning licenses.

Congratulating the residents of the district, Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma said that the construction of this fully equipped modern office building has been completed in a record time of just two and a quarter years. He announced that a state-of-the-art vehicle testing facility will soon be established in the district, so that local residents will not have to travel to other cities for testing. He said that today every section of society, from villages to cities, is benefiting from the public welfare schemes of the Central and State governments.

Keeping in mind social concerns and civic amenities, during the function, free bus passes were provided to 10 senior citizens above the age of 80, while licenses were distributed to 5 vehicle owners and helmets for safety to 5 drivers. At the end of the programme, under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', ministers, administrative officers and public representatives gave the message of green environment by planting trees in the office premises.

On this occasion, District Panchayat President, former MLA Shivratan Sharma and Pramod Sharma, State Vice President of Bharat Scout Guide, Additional Commissioner Transport, Chief Conservator of Forests (Raipur Circle) Maniwasan, Collector Kuldeep Sharma, Superintendent of Police and DF along with many officers, public representatives and a large number of local villagers were present.
