Third party evaluation conducted by Quality Council of India to improve the quality of Polytechnic Institutes

Raipur, October 9, 2026 / The Chhattisgarh government is continuously working towards providing better employment opportunities to the youth of the state and making them skilled in accordance with the changing needs of the industries. The state government's objective is not to limit the youth to just educational qualifications but to empower them with modern technology, practical training and employment-oriented skills. To this end, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and under the guidance of Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment Department Minister Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb, the department has taken important initiatives towards signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with reputed industrial and training institutions, starting new courses in technical education and improving the quality of training institutions.

MoU with four institutions will provide better training to the youth

At the conclusion of the two-day State-Level Job Fair 2026, the Department of Skill Development, Technical Education, and Employment signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with four institutions to enhance the employability of youth. Through these agreements, students will be provided training tailored to the actual needs of industries, facilitating their employment opportunities.

In collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), engineering college students will be provided specialized training. This training will be provided free of charge as part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. This will provide students with knowledge of modern technology and practical skills used in industry.

Similarly, with the support of the Adani Group, industry-based training will be provided to students from ITI, polytechnic, and engineering colleges. This initiative will not only develop technical skills for students but will also provide new employment opportunities in the industrial sector.

To enhance students' personality development and employability, training in soft skills, English communication skills, interview preparation, and personality development is being provided in collaboration with the Naandi Foundation. Last year, more than 6,000 students were trained through this organization. This year, approximately 48 to 50 hours of training will be provided to students involved in ITI, Polytechnic, and skill development.

Additionally, Jungle Safari is also pursuing MoUs with institutions for skill training in various trades. This will provide youth with opportunities to receive practical training in various fields.

Special initiatives to improve the quality of education in polytechnic institutions

To improve the quality of education and training in the state's polytechnic colleges, a third-party evaluation has been conducted through the Quality Council of India. This evaluation assessed the institutions' academic standards, training systems, available infrastructure, and other essential facilities. The evaluation report was released at the closing ceremony of the employment fair by Chief Minister Shri Sai, Minister of Technical Education Shri Saheb, Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, and other distinguished guests. It provides important suggestions for improving the quality of the institutions and making the training system more effective. Based on these suggestions, an action plan will be developed for the development and modernization of polytechnic colleges. This will provide students with a better educational environment and quality technical training.
