President Smt. Draupadi Murmu will visit Jagdalpur on October 23 and will participate in the Muria Durbar.
She will address the public meeting at Lalbagh ground, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap took stock of the preparations.
Raipur, October 2026/ President Draupadi Murmu will visit Jagdalpur on a day-long visit on October 23rd. During this visit, she will attend the Muria Darbar, held at Sirhasar Bhavan, associated with the historic tradition of Bastar Dussehra. President Murmu will also address a public meeting at Lalbag Maidan.
Preparations for President Murmu's proposed visit to Jagdalpur are in the final stages. Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap visited the Lalbag grounds to inspect the venue and review the arrangements. He reviewed the stage and seating arrangements, the designated gallery for distinguished guests, security, traffic management, and amenities for the public. Kashyap directed the concerned officials to complete all preparations within the stipulated time.
Jagdalpur MLA Shri Kiran Singh Dev, Mayor Shri Sanjay Pandey, Commissioner Shri Doman Singh, Inspector General of Police Shri B.N. Meena, Collector Shri Akash Chhikara and Superintendent of Police Shri Shalabh Sinha along with other officials were present during the inspection.
