This time, Nitish Kumar will be sworn in as Chief Minister for the 10th time. The NDA has secured 202 seats in the 243-seat assembly, giving it a more than two-thirds majority.

Nitish Kumar's oath ceremony: Speaking of the 2000 assembly elections, no single party or coalition secured a majority. Following the elections, Nitish Kumar, with the support of the BJP, was sworn in as Chief Minister of Bihar for the first time on March 3, 2000, at Atal Bihari Vajpayee's request. At the time, Nitish Kumar was the Agriculture Minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. However, due to a lack of majority, he resigned within seven days.
