The Bihar government has taken a major and historic step for investors dreaming of setting up industries. Many business ideas are unable to take off due to the high cost of land, but now the government is providing land to industrialists for a token amount of just one rupee. This initiative has been launched with the aim of increasing large-scale investment and employment in the state.
This facility will be available under the "Bihar Industrial Investment Incentive Package 2025." To avail of this scheme, investors must apply by March 31, 2026.
Who can buy land for Rs 1?
The government will not give this land to everyone, but only to those investors who can bring employment and big investments to the state.
- 10 acres of land for just Re 1 to companies investing Rs 100 crore and employing 1,000 people
- Those investing Rs 1,000 crore will get 25 acres of land for Rs 1.
- Rules are more relaxed for Fortune 500 companies, with 10 acres of land for an investment of Rs 200 crore.
There's good news for other investors too: BIADA is offering up to 50% discount on its land.
