Raipur: The Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana has brought positive change to the lives of Mr. Akash Kumar Dixit, a resident of Mungadih village in the Pali development block of Korba district. For this family with limited income, rising electricity bills had long been a concern. Mr. Dixit's father is a farmer and his mother is a homemaker, so the high monthly electricity bill created financial pressure.

When Mr. Akash Kumar Dixit learned about the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana and learned that the central and state governments were providing subsidies for solar system installation under this scheme, he took advantage of this opportunity and installed a 3 kilowatt solar system in his home. He explained that the solar system installation cost approximately ₹330,000, including the government subsidy. After installing the solar system, his electricity bill has become negligible, significantly increasing the family's monthly savings. These savings are now being spent on other household needs and the children's future.

Today, Mr. Dixit is not only free from the worry of electricity bills, but is also contributing to environmental protection by using clean and green energy.
