Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended 'Pen Karsad Mandari' and one-day annual convention of Gondwana Samaj at Bhanupratappur under Kanker district. He announced to name Kanker medical college after former Prime Minister late Smt Indira Gandhi. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and performed Bhumi Pujan of 146 development works worth Rs.14.47 crore. This includes inauguration of 94 works worth Rs.9 crore 55 lakh and Bhoomipujan of 52 works worth Rs.4 crore 76 lakh. He also announced the renaming of the sports ground at Bhanupratappur after former Deputy Speaker late Mr. Manoj Mandavi. Along with this, he also announced to give Rs.10,000 each to Chalaki and Manjhi, Rs.10 lakh each for construction of street light, shed, and courtyard in Bhanupratappur. He instructed Kanker Collector for forwarding the proposal to renovate the dilapidated schools of Bhanupratappur to the state government.      

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel at Bhanupratappur said that first of all, primitive culture emerged in the world. The state government is consistently trying to preserve the tribal culture and tradition. From 2019 till now 518 Devgudis have been constructed in the district at a cost of Rs 17 crore 82 lakh. Similarly, 173 Ghotuls were constructed at a cost of Rs 19 crore 91 lakh. Mr. Baghel said that ‘sewa’ means service to human society, culture and nature. The work of preserving tribal culture is being done by the state government. The work of scripting all the tribal dialects of the state, preserving and saving folk dances, folk songs and traditional games are also being done. He further said that the country's largest millet plant has been started recently at Nathia Navagaon in Kanker district.

The Chief Minister said that to provide modern education to children of state, Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme has been implemented to open English medium schools. Farmers of Kanker district sold historic 40 lakh quintals of paddy for the first time. Earlier in the state, the house floors were coated with cow dung, now the walls of the houses will also be painted with natural paint made from cow dung. Schools that were closed in Bastar are now opening again and for this, a budget provision of Rs.1 thousand crore has been made by the state government to renovate the schools.

Excise Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma said in his address in the program that by promoting the cultivation of Kodo-Kutki and millets of Bastar, the state government is making efforts to make the tribals self-reliant. The government is doing the work of giving respect to the tribal tradition by making Devgudis in every village. Former Madhya Pradesh Minister Mrs. Ganga Potai, and Bhanupratappur MLA Mrs. Savitri Mandavi also addressed the program. Public Works Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu inaugurated the 526 meter long Telghani Railway Overbridge built at a cost of Rs 35.54 crore near Raipur Railway Station and the 407 meter long and 7.5 meter wide Gogaon Railway bridge constructed at a cost of Rs 15.73 crore in Urkura-Sarona bypass rail line. These two major construction works, on completion, would ensure smooth traffic facility for the people of Raipur city and solve the problem of traffic jam here.

Besides more than 3 lakh common people of the city, Telghani ROB will facilitate smooth traffic to the entire urban area for platforms 6 and 7 of the railway station. Similarly, with the commencement of the Gogaon RUB, a population of more than 3 lakh in this area will be benefited. Mr. Sahu expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on behalf of more than six lakh residents of the city for both these facilities.

On this occasion, Public Works Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu while addressing the local public said that both these bridges were among the priority works of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and the Chief Minister had also given instructions to complete them as soon as possible.

In his address, Public Works Minister said that today, one corner of the city has been connected with the other. With smooth traffic movement on both sides of the city, trade-business and communication will also improve rapidly. He further told that the movement of heavy vehicles from the old Telghani overbridge has been stopped, now only two wheelers and small four wheelers will be able to pass through this bridge. This would ensure smooth and safe commute to the people.

Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vikas Upadhyay said that Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel is running many schemes to put money into people's pockets, significantly improving their purchasing power. People are purchasing vehicles for their convenience, so it is the responsibility of the government to provide good roads for them. Earlier the traffic system of the city was according to the population of 7-8 lakhs, but now the population of city has increased to about 25 lakhs.  To expand the traffic facility as per the requirement of the current population, two new bridges have been inaugurated in the city today. I express my gratitude to the Chief Minister as well as the Public Works Minister for providing continuous free movement facility to the people, said Mr. Upadhyay.

Raipur, 03 February 2023 / Former Chief Secretary and former Chairman of RERA Shri Vivek Dhand has been appointed as the Chairman of 'Chhattisgarh State Innovation Commission' (Chhattisgarh Rajya Navachar Ayog) by the state government. An order to this effect has been issued by the General Administration Department from Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur here today.

The commission has been formed with the aim of giving suggestions to the state government from time to time for the effective implementation of administrative innovations and various public welfare schemes to be carried out by the Chhattisgarh government. 

Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan: 2.65 lakh children overcome malnutrition

One lakh 50 thousand women are free from anemia

In order to break the vicious cycle of malnutrition in the state, 2 lakh 65 thousand children, out of the 4 lakh 34 thousand children coming under the purview of malnutrition, have been successfully cured in the last four years. Under the campaign, one lakh 50 thousand women have been freed from anaemia. It is noteworthy that on the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Suposhan Abhiyan was commenced from October 02, 2019. Under the campaign, hot-cooked nutritious food is being provided to the malnourished children of age up to six years and anemic women in the age group of 15 to 49 years.

Apart from the Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan, the state government has paid due attention to various aspects of nourishment ranging from pregnancy to safe delivery, to the healthy development of mothers and babies. As a result, the mother mortality rate has also come down from 159 to 137. Earlier, there was no provision of any kind in case the second child was also a daughter. To bridge this gap, the state government has launched the 'Kaushalya Matritva Sahayata Yojana'. Under the scheme, Rs 5,000 is being provided to pregnant women in one go. This would play an important role in ensuring the nutritional security to the expectant mother and her child.

The state government has taken major strategic steps to ensure nutritional security of women and children. Special care has been taken to ensure that no family remains hungry in the state. According to the 2011 census, the state government has achieved the goal of 100 percent food security i.e. enured food security to 2 crore 61 lakh beneficiaries under 'Universal PDS'. Chhattisgarh government distributed free rice to 64 lakh Antyodaya, priority, single destitute and disabled ration card holders from April 2022 to December 2022 as per the prescribed monthly eligibility and additional eligibility. Taking this forward, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has announced to supply free rice of monthly entitlement from January 2023 to December 2023 as well.

The state has taken major steps ahead from mere food security to proper nutritional security. Taking the characteristics and preferences of the local food and drink into consideration, the state government is distributing fortified rice containing iron folic acid to ensure nutritional security in 12 districts under 'Midday Meal Scheme' and 'Poorak Poshan Aahar Yojna'. Taking this forward, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has announced distribution of fortified rice to PDS ration card holders in all the districts from April 2023. This will go a long way in the direction of providing nutritional security to the families in the state.

So far, 1812 camps have been established through Mukhyamantri Dai-Didi mobile clinics. 1 lakh 42 thousand 582 women and girls from slums in Raipur, Bilaspur, and Bhilai Municipal Corporation districts have been treated at a Dai-Didi Clinic Camp near their homes.

It should be mentioned that Mukhyamantri  Dai-Didi Clinic Yojana is managed by the Chhattisgarh Government's Urban Administration and Development Department. Under the initiative, a team of female doctors and staff members arrive in the vehicle of Dai-Didi Clinic's mobile medical unit and treat poor women and girls for free for a variety of diseases.

These mobile medical units performed lab tests on 26 thousand 717 women and distributed free medicines to 1 lakh 36 thousand 95 women. Previously, such women living in poor slum neighborhoods and working hard were unable to receive treatment owing to a lack of time or a variety of other factors, but now they can receive care from a Dai-Didi clinic near their homes via women doctors and medical workers.

Raipur, Feb 2 , 2023/ Chhattisgarh has set a new record by purchasing more than 107 lakh 51 thousand 858 metric tonnes of paddy till January 31, the last date for paddy purchase in the Kharif marketing year 2022-23. The figure of 98 lakh metric tonnes of paddy which was procured in the state last year has been surpassed in the current year.  It is noteworthy that Chhattisgarh is the second state in the country after Punjab, where maximum quantity of paddy has been procured. If seen in terms of the number of farmers selling paddy at the support price, Chhattisgarh ranks first in the country. In the state, 23 lakh 41 thousand 935 farmers have sold their paddy on the support price. In terms of the number of farmers selling paddy at the support price, this figure is so high that other states of the country are not even close to this mark.

It is noteworthy that in the last four years, the system of paddy procurement in the state of Chhattisgarh has been strengthened and improved so much that farmers do not face any kind of problem in selling paddy and getting payment for it. This is the reason that in the last four years there has been a record increase in the number of farmers selling paddy at the support price and the quantity of paddy procured, due to which Chhattisgarh has reached the second position as a contributory state of paddy in the Central Pool.

Due to the farmer-friendly policies of the Chhattisgarh government, both agriculture and farmers have prospered in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. With the year-on-year record increase in paddy procurement figures in the state and the input subsidy of Rs 9,000 per acre being given to productive farmers under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the state's agro-based economy is continuously getting stronger. This can only be gauged from the fact that this year 249 new rice mills have been set up in the state, due to which the number of registered millers has increased from 2035 to 2284 for custom milling of paddy procured on support price in the state. . In the last four years, the prosperity in the field of agriculture and the prosperity of the farmers can evidently be seen by the increased number of villagers and farmers buying tractors in the state. Farmers have bought more than 80 thousand tractors in the state in four years.

With the increase in the number of paddy purchase centers in the state,  along with manual token, online tokens have also been issued for purchase of paddy from registered farmers,  through 'Token Tuhanr Hath' app. Better and convenient arrangements have been made for the process of paddy procurement due to which paddy procurement in the state continued uninterrupted from the opening day of November 01 till the last day of January 31. Considering the 24.98 lakh registered farmers and 32.19 lakh hectare area in the state, 110 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was estimated to be procured this year.

Food Secretary Shri T.K. Verma said that according to the intention of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, like last year in the state, along with the purchase of paddy, arrangements were made to lift paddy directly by the millers from the purchase centers for custom milling, due to which till now More than 90 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted. He further informed that due to the system of procurement of paddy as well as lifting of paddy for custom milling, this year only 3 lakh metric tonnes of paddy will have to be taken to the collection centers, while last year about 23 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was required to be taken to the collection centres.  About Rs 150-200 crore will be saved due to this system of paddy lifting. Custom milling has also gained momentum as the government is giving Rs 120 per quintal as incentive to millers for custom milling. Moreover,  249 new millers have also registered this year. It is evident from this that paddy has given impetus to Chhattisgarh's economy and industrialization; new employment opportunities have also been created. Due to the farmer-friendly policy and decisions of the state government, the area under paddy has also increased to more than 32.19 lakh hectares and registered farmers include 2.32 lakh new farmers as well.

'Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana' has brought huge relief to the citizens living in urban areas, as they are now getting important government documents at their doorsteps. Under the scheme, so far more than 50,000 citizens have received their necessary public documents at their doorstep. Besides, more than 1 lakh citizens have sought information regarding the scheme on toll-free number 14545.

As per the direction of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the home access service 'Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana' was started on May 01, 2022, by the Urban Administration Development Department in all 14 municipal corporations of the state to make public documents available to the citizens at their doorsteps.

Services under the Mitan Yojana include the home delivery of official documents like birth certificates, correction in the birth certificate, death certificates, correction in the death certificate, domicile certificates, marriage registration certificates, income certificates, OBC certificates, SC/ST certificates, shop and establishment registration certificates, land record copy, land notification (land use), Aadhar card registration, address and mobile number correction in Aadhar card for children up to 5 years of age, application for PAN number, PAN update, and duplicates. This is saving people's time, money, and effort as they no longer have to make rounds of government offices for getting their required certificates.

Application process: For availing the benefit of the scheme, the applicant has to dial the toll-free number 14545. After this, the appointment is booked. Following this, the applicant receives an SMS with the booking details. After this, Mitan reaches the applicant's house on the fixed time and date and collects the necessary documents. He then verifies the documents through the tablet and uploads them on the portal. The verified documents are then sent online to the concerned departments that issue the certificate. The certificate is issued after document verification and is then delivered to the applicant's doorstep by Mitan.

Close on the heels of completing the audit process of the state's hospital under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Dr. Khubchand Baghel Swasthya Sahayata Yojana, the state government has booked five hospitals on charges of collecting excess and irrelevant tariff against the prescribed norms. The Health Department has issued suspension orders and imposed penalties against five such hospitals in Raipur and Bilaspur.

Director of Health Services-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Dr. Khubchand Baghel Swasthya Sahayata Yojana State Nodal Agency, Raipur has issued orders to take action against the hospitals having irregularities in the audit. Action has been taken against Anjali Nursing Home, Maher Hospital, Shah Nursing Home of Nawapara Raipur, Shribalaji Hospital of Bilaspur, and Ramakrishna Care Hospital of Raipur.

The Health Department has suspended Shri Balaji Hospital in Bilaspur for one year. Action taken against the hospitals for irregularities includes Rs.3 lakh fine and one-year suspension against Anjali Nursing Home of Nawapara Raipur, Rs.5 lakh fine and one-year suspension against Maher Hospital, and Rs.3 lakh fine and one-year suspension against Shah Nursing Home. A penalty of Rs.6 lakh 16 thousand 834 has been imposed in Raipur's Ramakrishna Care Hospital for charging an additional amount from the patients treated under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Dr. Khubchand Baghel Swasthya Sahayata Yojana. Along with this, the same amount has been returned to the concerned patients.

Toll-free number for registering complaints

In case of any problem during the treatment in hospitals registered under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Dr.Khubchand Baghel Swasthya Sahayata Yojana, patients or their relatives can directly complain on toll-free number 104 or 14555. Prompt action will be taken against the complaint. Along with this, the data available in the online software of the treated patients is also continuously audited by the concerned doctors. In case of any irregularities, action is taken from time to time by the State Nodal Agency so that patients can get free and proper treatment.

Bastar was once known as a naxal-affected region but this scenic area filled with greenery has seen unprecedented changes due to the blue revolution of the fish farming. The picture of Koylibeda development block of Kanker district of the state has drastically started changing due to policies of the government. Pakhanjur area of this development block is making a new identity in the country as an emerging region of fish production. Now this area is a well known name on the fisheries map of the country. It is noteworthy that Fish farming is being done here on a cluster approach. This positive change is the result of the collective hard work of the farmers of Pankhajoor area of Koylibeda development block along with the help of the schemes of the state government. In the last 4 years, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Chhattisgarh is progressing expeditiously  in every field and a new identity of Chhattisgarh is being established in the whole country.

      More than five thousand fish farmers are associated with fish farming in Pakhanjur area. The scale of fish farming being done here,  can clearly be gauged from the fact that the average annual turnover of  fish seed production, transportation and production of fish etc. is more than Rs 500 crore. There are about 19,700 ponds in this region, out of which fish farming is being done in about 99 percent of the ponds.

The hard working farmers, along with the help from the state governments’ schemes have brought a revolution in this region with their constant hard work and skill. These farming families carried forward the work of fish farming with the help of local fish farmers. Due to substantial profits earned by fish farmers, now this work has spread to the surrounding villages of Pakhanjur development block as well. Along with fish production, fish seed is also being produced here. From here, fish seed is supplied to different parts of the country including Maharashtra, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh. Significantly,Farmers earn about Rs 125 crore from fish seed alone.

The story of Badekapsi village of Pakhanjur is even more encouraging, farmers of 5 nearby villages are doing fish farming collectively. In these villages, 1700 ponds have been made for fish farming where 30 thousand metric tonnes of fishes are produced. The people of the village informed that now leaving the traditional farming work, people are now drifting towards the fish farming business, because it is a low-cost, high-profit business. Many of their fields in the villages have now been converted into ponds for fish farming.

In Pakhanjur region, the technique of fish farming in cluster approach is becoming increasingly popular among farmers. About 12 thousand 500 hectares of water area is available for fish farming in these villages. Apart from this, 27 hatcheries, 45 farms, 1623 ponds, 1132 hatchery breeding ponds are available here. 72 crore fish seeds are being produced here. Out of this, 64 crore fish seeds are sent to different states of the country.

About 51000 metric tonnes of fish is being produced in Pakhanjur area due to modern techniques of fish farming. Here, 12000 metric tonnes of fish are being produced in 8000 hectares of water area. Apart from this, 80 million pegasus fish seeds are also being produced here. Pegasius fish seed is sent to different parts of the country for fish culture through cage culture.

Fish farming has gained momentum due to various schemes of the government

It is worth mentioning that various schemes run by the state government and the central government, such as the National Agricultural Development Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana and Blue Revolution, Fisheries Promotion Scheme, provided great help and guidance to the farmers, due to which the business of fisheries in Pakhanjoor area has flourished. More than 5 thousand fish farmers are directly involved in this work. Farmers say that the fishermen benefited a lot from the Blue Revolution(Neeli Kranti) scheme. The fish farming business has now taken a big shape here due to the loan grant for fish farming with advanced technology and technical assistance.

Agriculture status given to fish farming

Fisheries department of Chhattisgarh government is providing loan grant to fish farmers for fish farming through state-of-the-art technologies like cage culture biofloc, as well as providing technical guidance. Fisheries have also been given the status of agriculture in the state. With this, farmers are getting loans at zero percent interest, electricity and other facilities at subsidized rates similar to agriculture. There is great enthusiasm among the farmers after getting the status of agriculture.

Significantly, Chhattisgarh is one of the leading states in the country in fish production. Chhattisgarh ranks fifth in fish seed production and sixth in the country in fish production. In the last four years, 09 Chinese hatcheries and 364.92 hectare cultivation area have been created through Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. Fish seed production has increased by 20 percent to 302 crore standard fry, similarly fish production has increased by 29 percent to 5.91 lakh tonnes. For fish farming, 4200 cages have been installed in reservoirs and ponds have been developed in 2410 hectares on the land of fish farmers. Apart from this, 6 feed mills have also been established.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the campaign of paddy procurement, which started from November 1, 2022, is continuing in full swing. The figure of paddy procured in the state has crossed a record-breaking mark of 107 lakh metric tonnes so far. Tomorrow, January 31, is the last day for paddy purchase. So far 23.39 lakh farmers of the state have sold their paddy produce in lieu of which, 22 thousand crore rupees have been released by The Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Federation (MARKFED) to Apex Bank. 

It is worth mentioning that like last year, this year too, paddy procurement is going on continuously along with paddy procurement for custom milling. So far, out of the total 107 lakh metric tonnes of paddy procured, DO has been issued for the lifting of about 96 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, against which more than 89 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted by the millers. Officials of the Food Department informed that on January 30, more than 23 thousand tonnes of paddy has been procured from 6,905 farmers and 2000 tonnes of paddy has been purchased from the farmers through tokens obtained online.

This year, 24.98 lakh farmers have been registered in the state, including about 2.32 lakh new farmers. In order to make it convenient for farmers to sell paddy, 135 new procurement centers were started in the state this year, taking the total number of procurement centers in the state to 2,617. Normal paddy is being bought at the rate of Rs 2040 per quintal and grade-A paddy at Rs 2060 per quintal. A strict vigil is being kept on the system of paddy procurement in the state. Goods carriers are being regularly checked at check posts to prevent illegal transportation of paddy from Border States. The state government has set a target of procuring about 110 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from the registered farmers of the state this year. Due to the constant increase in the frequency of farmers and the arrival of paddy in paddy procurement centers, the paddy procurement figures will exceed the estimated mark.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has expressed deep displeasure over unnecessary delay in the disposal of revenue cases. The Chief Minister has given strict instructions to all the District Collectors to clear all pending revenue cases expeditiously. He has said that disciplinary action will be taken considering the collectors directly responsible for delay in the disposal of revenue matters.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister will chair a review meeting of district collectors in the last week of February to discuss the status of district-wise revenue cases including cases of name transfer, demarcation, diversion, land allotment, settlement, and free-hold cases, as well as regularization of illegal constructions and land allotment to urban bodies at the rate of Rs 1 per square feet.

It is worth mentioning that quick disposal of revenue cases is among the top priorities of the state government. Instructions were issued by the government from time to time in this regard. However, keeping in view the slow progress than expected, Chief Minister has taken the matter seriously and given strict instructions to the officials concerned to do the needful.

Paying homage to the immortal martyrs of the country including Mahatma Gandhi, Mr. Baghel has said that the debt of the brave martyrs who laid down their lives for the country can never be repaid. Recalling the immense contribution of Mahatma Gandhi towards India's independence, Mr. Baghel said that Gandhiji showed the whole world how a great goal can be achieved by adhering to the path of truth and non-violence. The state government is also working following the path shown by Gandhiji. The Chief Minister said that Bapu understood the fundamentals of the Indian society and cared for everyone in the society. Bapu's thoughts and values will always inspire us to move forward with strong intentions

Raigarh secures first place, Kanker and Surajpur secure second and third place respectively

The main stage of State Youth Festival at the Raipur Science College ground was dedicated to artists dancing to Mandar beats on the first day. The young artists enthralled the audience with Mandar beats. The audience was seen as excited over the wonderful performance of the artists. Raigarh secured first place at the competition, while Kanker and Surajpur secured second and third place in the Karma dance competition in the age group of 15 to 40 years.

Artists from Durg, Raigarh, Surajpur, Kanker, and Balod districts gave a mesmerizing performance in their traditional costumes on the main stage at the Science College ground. The audience liked Karma dance performed by the youth. Karma dance is one of the folk dances prevalent in the culture of Chhattisgarh. Karma dance is performed by the tribes residing in the state. These tribes assemble under the Sarai and Karam trees and perform a dance with singing Karma songs. Tribal groups gather once a year to celebrate the festival in which they worship their deities. They perform the Karma dance around the Karam tree. Karma dance gives us the message of 'Karm'. 

On the main stage, artists from Surajpur district under Surguja division, Raigarh district under Bilaspur division, Balod district under Durg division, Kanker district under Bastar division, and Mahasamund district under Raipur division performed in the age group of 15 to 40 on traditional songs. The young men and women captivated everyone's hearts. The youth of Surajpur district presented Karma dance with local folk song, the folk artists from Raigarh district performed in white costumes to the tune of melodious music, and the youth of Balod district performed Karma dance with chanting 'Chhattisgarh Mahtari aur Bharat Mata ki Jay'.

Delicious Chhattisgarhi Cuisine will be served at the food festival*

Raipur, / Government of Chhattisgarh is organizing a State-level Youth Festival at the Science College ground in the Raipur from 28 January. Through this event, the journey of Chhattisgarh towards development and prosperity will be portrayed on the stage for people. Traditional dishes, costumes, games, dances, songs and Teej festivals would be the important aspects of this event. Food festival will also be organized under this event where traditional dishes of Chhattisgarh will be served. The confluence of classical dance with Chhattisgarhi dance will turn the atmosphere of the youth festival into a celebration. Raut Nacha, Sua Geet, Gedi Naach, Panthinritya, Karma Naach and Bastaria dance in Chhattisgarhi dance and the confluence of Bharat Natyam, Kathak, Odissi, Kuchipudi and Manipuri dance in classical dance will enthuse the youth.

In the food festival to be organized under the festival, Chhattisgarhi dishes like Cheela, Chausela, Fara, Muthia, Thethri, Khurmi, Gujiya, Peediya, Airsa, Anarisa, Angakar Roti, Puri, Sonhari, Gulgula Bhajia, Mirchi Bhajia etc. will be featured. 

*'RIPA' developed in five acres of land; Rs. 3.30 crores invested to generate employment opportunities for villagers*

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the country's first Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) at Turenar in Bastar district on Republic Day. For providing employment to the villagers, 20 working sheds have been built on five acres of land. About 337 people are currently working under various schemes in 18 sheds. A training center and residential complex for trainees have also been built here.

After the inauguration of Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel went to each and every shed to see the activities being conducted there. He interacted with the self-employed women and took information about their work. He informed that 300 such rural industrial parks are being built across the state. To increase employment opportunities, two 'RIPA' are being built in every development block.

 Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel in his address said that today not only Chhattisgarh's but the country's first Rural Industrial Park is being inaugurated in Turenar. There is an abundance of valuable forest produce in Bastar. The thing which is not found anywhere else in the world is found in Bastar. Along with the collection of minor forest produce, local people are earning more from their processing and value addition. Earlier the people of Bastar used to sell cocoons directly, now they are making thread out of it. Making candies from tamarind, and selling scented rice by packaging it well. After processing, cashew nuts are sold at good prices.

 The Chief Minister said that the government is increasing employment opportunities at the local level so that people do not have to immigrate to other places.  Rural Industrial Park will provide necessary resources for self-employment in villages.  Through this, the government is realizing the vision of Gram Swaraj given by Mahatma Gandhi.  Villages will become self-reliant with 'RIPA', villagers will be economically empowered and women will also become self-reliant.

Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Rekhchand Jain and Bastar MP Mr. Deepak Baij addressed the inauguration program. Collector Mr. Chandan Kumar in his report gave information about the facilities available in the Turenar Rural Industrial Park and the activities conducted there. With the help of state government, various groups have been operating processing units in RIPA situated at Turinar. These processing units include Mushroom spawn lab and oyster mushroom production, button mushroom and oyster mushroom production, cashew processing, kodo, kutki, ragi, masala, 'tikhur' processing and pickle making, scented rice and pulses production. Along with this, tamarind candy and chapati making, chironji processing, silk thread production, poultry farming, egg production, oil processing, non-woven bags, paper bags, 'dona', leaf, natural cow dung paint, cotton cloth, fish feed, chicken feed production, bakery unit are also being operated under this RIPA.
