Chhattisgarh government signed 4 important MoUs for skill development of youth, new doors of employment will open, Chief Minister inaugurated Niti Aayog's workshop on skill, employment and livelihood, State Support Mission is being run to provide employment to the youth

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated a workshop on expanding skill development, employment and livelihood opportunities for youth, women and tribal communities in Chhattisgarh under the State Support Mission of the NITI-State Workshop Series in the capital Raipur.Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this workshop is very relevant as per the needs of the changing times. India is a young country and if the youth get skill training as per their interest and ability, then we can achieve the goal of 'Developed India' rapidly.

On this occasion, four important Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed today by the State Skill Development, Technical Education and Higher Education Departments.

Chief Minister Shri Sai further said that schemes are being made keeping youth, women and tribal class at the center to make Chhattisgarh a developed state by 2047. He praised the initiative of Aspirational Districts of Niti Aayog and said that this has brought about a change in the tribal areas.He said that better implementation of State Support Mission will provide new employment opportunities to the youth, women and tribal community of the state through training for livelihood. He said that youth can be made employable by linking them with skills.The Chief Minister said that the government has been rapidly promoting skill development since 2013. He said that the state government is working on livelihood colleges, ITI and empowering women self-help groups.

Giving information about the agreement with Mahindra & Mahindra Company, he said that under this, the youth of the state will be taught modern technology of tractor manufacturing. He said that this initiative will bring positive change in the lives of rural youth and their families of Bastar and Surguja region.The Chief Minister said that there is a huge demand for skills like electrician, plumber, mechanic in rural areas, but the availability of skilled workers is low. The government is preparing a comprehensive plan to provide training in these areas.He also emphasized on promoting the livelihood of local people by adding value to forest products like Mahua, Tamarind, Sal.
