Governor Shri Deka today attended the fifth convocation of Kalinga University in Nava Raipur and distributed degrees and medals to the students of the years 2023, 2024 and 2025. On this occasion, 150 researchers were awarded PhD degrees, 1500 students were awarded postgraduate degrees and 2500 students were awarded bachelor's degrees. The Governor also planted a tree in the name of Mother on the university campus. On this occasion, Governor Shri Deka said that the second innings of the students' lives is beginning. The days ahead will be full of struggle for them, and many obstacles will arise. Learn from the past and plan your future with planning. Work in any field and live a happy life. Along with material achievement, there should also be mental peace.

The Governor stated that teachers play a vital role in the National Education Policy 2020. For this, there should be ongoing discussions between teachers and students. Students should have complete knowledge of the NEP. He told the teachers that there is a difference between a teacher and a guru. The word "guru" has a broad meaning. Be a guru, not a teacher, and guide the youth with your experience and knowledge. Mr. Deka urged the university to maintain a positive environment. A lot of work is being done on innovation, and the government is also supporting this effort. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between humans, animals, and nature.
