Raipur.  During a public hearing held at Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai's residence today, the Chief Minister took a swift decision and approved a financial grant of ₹90,000 on the request of disabled rugby player Pintu Ram Sahu, who came from Abhanpur in Raipur district. Sahu had requested assistance to purchase a wheelchair and essential sports equipment. Understanding his circumstances and needs, the Chief Minister immediately provided him with a check.

Applicant Pintu Ram Sahu stated that he has been involved in sports for the past four years. He visited Gwalior to play rugby for the first time on October 2, 2025. Sahu is currently a final-year BA student and is committed to pursuing a career in sports despite his disability.

 Expressing his happiness at receiving financial assistance from the Chief Minister, Sahu said that this support is a great inspiration for him. Expressing his gratitude to Chief Minister Sahu, he said that he will now work hard to achieve even better performance in sports and bring glory to Chhattisgarh.
