Masterpiece of micro art: Bhilai artist creates miniature statue of Modi ji, Chief Minister praises it

Raipur, November 13, 2025 / Mr. Ankush Dewangan, a 55-year-old resident of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, has once again astonished everyone with his unique art. During today's public meeting, he presented Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai with a special frame, which features a miniature marble statue of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, intricately carved. A magnificent replica of the newly constructed Shri Ram Lalla Temple in Ayodhya is also engraved on the back of the frame. Upon seeing this remarkable work, the Chief Minister praised Mr. Dewangan profusely and wished him well.

A microscopic lens has been installed in the frame to view the statue, allowing Prime Minister Modi's facial expressions, smile, and fine hairlines to be clearly visible. Mr. Dewangan created this unique artistic marvel by carving a small piece of marble.

Mr. Ankush Dewangan works as an Administrative Assistant at the Bhilai Steel Plant, but since childhood, he has been inclined towards shaping small objects and creating unique artworks from them. At the age of 10, he first made a small wooden toy. He then created metal molds, sculpted clay figures, and finally took up the art of stone carving. For the past 45 years, he has been continuously breaking new ground in the world of micro art.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai took the frame in his hands and examined it carefully, saying, "This is not just art, it is a symbol of dedication and patience. The beauty with which Ankush ji has expressed his feelings for the Prime Minister is commendable."

While proposing to organize a state level exhibition for them, the Chief Minister said that it is the responsibility of the government to encourage such talented artists.

Mr. Dewangan said it took him about two months to create this half-centimeter-sized statue. His daily routine was a job during the day and art at night. He said, “Modi ji fulfilled the dream of the Ram temple, so I put both of them in the same frame. This is my small contribution.”

People often come to the Chief Minister's Office for public hearings with their problems, but today, a man brought his art and won everyone's heart. Chief Minister Mr. Sai has decided to keep this frame in a special place in his office.

Mr. Ankush Dewangan's next goal is to build the world's smallest replica of the Ram Setu. "As long as hands keep moving, something new will keep coming," he said with a smile.
