Paddy procurement to begin in Chhattisgarh today; Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel to inaugurate; 2,739 centres set up in the state
Raipur. Paddy procurement begins today in Chhattisgarh. The state government has completed preparations at all procurement centers. Paddy will be purchased from farmers at a rate of ₹3,100 per quintal. For this purpose, 2,739 paddy procurement centers have been established across the state.
It should be noted that this time, paddy procurement is starting in Surajpur district. Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel will inaugurate it. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has directed officials to provide essential facilities for farmers at procurement centers. These include basic amenities such as gunny bags, stalls, platforms, drinking water, and seating arrangements.
The Chhattisgarh government will procure paddy from November 15, 2025, to January 31, 2026. Farmers can sell their paddy at the center from Monday to Friday. 16 million metric tons of paddy will be purchased at the support price.
