Bilaspur - A tragic incident took place on Saturday afternoon in Pachpedi police station area of ​​Bilaspur district where Abhishek Rai, a resident of Bhattamanpur in Kopaganj police station area of ​​Mau district of Uttar Pradesh and working as a mechanical engineer in Shri Hospital of Raipur, suddenly jumped to his death from the bridge built on Shivnath river near village Jondhra.

It was told that at around 1:30 pm, villagers bathing under the bridge saw the youth jumping and immediately jumped into the river to save him, but he died on the spot due to drowning in deep water.

Upon receiving the information, Pachpedi police arrived and began the investigation, sending the body to the mortuary. Two wet mobile phones and a bus ticket from Raipur to Lavan, recovered during the search, provided clues to his identity and travel history. However, the reason for his arrival in the Pachpedi area and the reason for his suicide remain unclear. Police are awaiting the arrival of family members, whose interrogation is expected to reveal the true cause of the incident. A post-mortem examination will be conducted on Sunday.
