Sukma. In Chhattisgarh's Sukma district, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Pradeep Baghel, a sub-engineer posted at the Chhindgarh block headquarters, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000. According to information received from the ACB, the sub-engineer was demanding a 5 percent commission for payment for a culvert under construction in Chiurwada Panchayat. Upon preliminary confirmation of the complaint, the ACB prepared a trap plan and arrested the sub-engineer during the handover of the agreed amount in cash.The ACB has seized the bribe amount, related files, documents, mobile phones, and possible transaction records from the accused's home. During preliminary questioning, the engineer admitted to exerting pressure to disrupt the payment process. Officials are now examining digital transactions, old payment files, and other tender-related records.
