Raipur.  As per the order issued by the Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI), counselling for the posting of promoted principals has started from today. It is being organised every day from 21st November 2025 to 24th November 2025 at the Government Education College Campus, Shankar Nagar, Raipur. 300 promoted principals (E-cadre) have been invited every day for the above counselling. By being present at the counselling venue every day and following the counselling process, they will ensure that the counselling work is conducted smoothly.

The previously issued date for claim objection was postponed

The Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) issued an order stating, "The counseling process for the Principal E-Category is being started from November 17th. Some promoted principals have requested to present their side in the claim objection. The counseling process has been postponed and claims and objections have been invited from November 17th to 19th in the Directorate. A committee has been formed to resolve the received claims and objections. The committee includes B.L. Devangan, Deputy Director In-Charge Officer, H.C. Dilawar, Assistant Director, Member, Ram Ji Pal, Assistant Director, Member, Suraj Yadav, Assistant Class-3, Krishna Kumar Meshram, Assistant Class-3 Member. The committee will resolve all claims and objections on November 21st and submit its report to the Director of Public Instruction."

Promoted principals will have to carry these documents with them during counselling.

Whenever the counselling date will be released by DPI, it will be mandatory for all the promoted principals to appear with these necessary documents.

A certificate attesting to your current employment and original posting must be obtained from the institution's head. To verify your identity, you must bring one of the government-approved photo identification cards.

If the promoted principal is disabled, they must submit a disability certificate. If they fail to do so, they will be considered a normal candidate and will be assigned to the position.

The selection of an institution of T cadre by a promoted Principal of E cadre will not be valid.

The promoted Principal who did not attend the counselling and who refused to choose the seat even after attending the counselling will be posted on the remaining vacant post after allotment.

Principal promotion should be transparent and fair

State President of Chhattisgarh School Teachers' Association, Virendra Dubey said that in the Principal promotion, some lecturers have succeeded in getting a place in the promotion list by hiding their first appointment in an unfair manner. Counseling should be done only after checking the promotion list. Giving promotion by providing seniority from the date of first appointment despite inter-employer transfer is against the rules. The organization demands that the department should ensure that promotions are not done against the rules under any circumstances. Action should be taken to cancel the promotion by stopping the posting of the concerned person and a proper investigation of the case should be done and action should be taken against the culprits.
