Pickup seized with 60 bags of illegal paddy being brought from Odisha to Chhattisgarh
Raigarh. To prevent the illegal import of paddy from the border state of Odisha and to curb its potential sale in Chhattisgarh's agricultural produce markets, continuous patrolling, blockades, and informant systems have been activated. In this sequence, Pusaur police, during a checking in the village of Tribhauna on the Odisha border, seized 60 sacks of paddy from a pickup vehicle bearing registration number CG 10 C 6890. Upon questioning
the driver, Anand Sa, son of Ishwar Sa, 56, a resident of Semarliya, Kodkela police station, Jharsuguda district (Orissa), it was found that he was bringing the paddy from Odisha for sale at a produce market/collection center in Chhattisgarh. However, when served a notice, he failed to produce any valid documents or answer. Pusaur police have initiated action under FIR No. 13/2025, Section 106 of the BNSS, and the vehicle was brought to the police station and the relevant market inspector has been informed. Police station in-charge Pusaur Inspector Ramkinkar Yadav, Sub Inspector Kundan Lal Gaur and accompanying staff played an important role in the action.
